Not the B2G3 sale but I decided to see if there were any of the clearance items mentioned a couple pages back. Since the nearest Target is 45 miles away I asked my son if he can see what he could find. I was particularly interested in the Robert Plant Alison Kraus album even though I have a copy from when it first came out someone mentioned it is a Kevin Gray cut. Well none of the albums had clearance stickers but I told him the ones on the list. And checked them on a store scanner.
    He found:
REM out of time colored vinyl $7.49
    The Beatles (white) $13.49
The Rolling Stones Honk blue vinyl $16.??
The Who Greatest Hits red vinyl $6.99
    Lana Del Rey NFR $11.99
The Chicks Gaslighter $ can’t remember
Plant & Krauss Rising Sand $7.49
So 7 albums at least 4 doubles less than $80 including tax. Nice deal.

thanks to whoever posted about the clearance albums!

Went back and ordered a couple more Soul Jazz jazz compilations. Love that label, their comps are generally excellent.

Also got a Wailers dub album.

I believe the album, James Taylor American Standard is also one of the clearance items. I didn't get it because I have the 2lp 45rpm- even though I did purchase a couple I have already in other forms.

It is an AAA KG / Joe Harley set but I don't think its technically a Tone Poet.

No One Steps but i did grab the Dire Straits - self-titled MoFi for $35. There are no one steps because there just aren't any One Steps currently in stock anywhere. I bet if they do this sale again in a few months, whatever One Step is next will be in it.

I'm still waiting on my MoFi of Oh Mercy from the last Target sale...dont know that I'll ever get it though.

    'Tone Poet' Jazz Reissue Series*

that's all I have seen released about it but haven't followed super closely. Target is the only place with it listed and it says it's a BN release.

Zev Feldman might be involved in his role as consultant for Blue Note Records. Resonance Records is not involved.

GUYS, THE LEE MORGAN BOX SET IS A BLUE NOTE RELEASE.

I received the first LP today and it was sent in a plastic bag with no protection. Needless to say the jacket was trashed.
I hope this isn't a sign of things to come from Target

They are sending me a replacement and said to keep the damaged one.
Usually I get records in cardboard mailers from them.

I just went to one of my local Targets to pick up the Foo Fighters - Medicine At Midnight which has an exclusive cover and lithograph (b&w band photo). They had 6 copies so I bought 2, and then made an impulse purchase of The Supremes No. 1's on yellow vinyl. The Foo Fighters was $21.99 and I didn't know what the Supremes cost. After I checked out I thought the cashier forgot to scan one of the records as the total was too low. I unknowingly triggered the 2 for 1 by grabbing that Supremes lp. Foos: $13.54 each and Supremes $14.90. I'm pretty happy about that. :edthumbs:

Nah, don't be. That bag shipment is not the norm and their return policy is super easy. If Target wants to be stupid and waste money shipping out repeat records because the items weren't packaged well, that's on them not you.
