Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - B.R.M.C. 2014 Euro x2 LP reissue. U2 - Achtung Baby. 2018 Euro x2 LP reissue. Already have original pressings, these both sound better..
Another post lock down purchases. Live at Last - Black Sabbath - 1980 - Nems - France I owned this previously. In fact I had two copies that i sold when i got Past Lives. Realized later i preferred the original. Found this and its in ex/ex condition. Very happy! Basket Of Light - Pentangle - 1969 - Trans Atlantic - Uk Fills a hole in my collection. Again ex/ex. Both 20$
Got a bonus at work and went on a bit of a splurge. I just bought that Achtung Baby a few months ago Chris Bellman hit it out of the park on the pressing
When i heard the song "the distance" back in 96 i thought it was a cool song but a bit chessy. dont remember any other song. now 20 years later someone mentions them on youtube and said its one of their favourite bands. So i decided to listen to the whole fashion nugget album on youtube. I was surprised how much i liked it. The muscianship is top notch. especially the bassist and the drummer. the album is also very well recorded. i got the yellow vinyl bootleg 2020 reissue from for 50$ on ebay last week. it has a bit of an edgewarp but the sound is great at least.
Thank you, Floyd Got two more vinyls yesterday but didn't get around to playing them until this morning. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours (Warner, 2020 repress) Very disappointed in the music. Grew up with some of the earlier records and have always loved the Peter Green stuff. This seems very superficial and slick. Well, only cost me around 7 USD. Neil Young - Time Fades Away (Warner, 2016 repress) That's more like it. Ironically the sound is not good on this one. A few very loud clicks! Wonder what I should do about this.
He sure did. I have a Euro original pressing and I think this reissue smokes it. I guess spreading it out to x2 LP's makes the difference..
Just received Nick Mason's Live at the Roundhouse - Saucerful of Secrets - it's great and well produced...........excellent
My latest vinyl purchase is probably Strike Up The Band! The Canadian Brass perform George Gershwin. It came out in 1987 and was released by RCA Records. I also own the Canadian Brass Basin Street album. It's a shame both albums have been deleted here in America, as they were a very talented, influential band. I also recently purchased Blood Sweat and Tears 4 and New Blood. Both albums were fantastic, although they will never match the success of their first 3 albums. The guitar and vocal solos Georg Wadenius performs on their cover of Maiden Voyage by Herbie Hancock is fantastic.
How does this sound on vinyl? I grabbed it from bandcamp and its quite compressed. DR5. Their last 3 records are excellent! Found more of their own sound, as opposed to the more Tool / Opeth thing.
I also just got this. I think they did a great job on it. Hope you enjoy your copy as much as I enjoy mine.
I assume this qualifies: my last vinyl purchase was the LP Killer Live in St. Louis, 1971 and the 7-inch single "Wonder Who's Loving Her Now" b/w "Lay Down and Die, Goodbye"; both were repros that were included in the Alice Cooper box set Old School 1964-1974. The former was 'released' as a bootleg album and the latter originally released as a single in 1967. I bought the box set in 2011 and I haven't bought any vinyl since then. Ted
In my opinion the vinyl sounds very good and noticeably less compressed than it did streamed from Amazon HD. Really like the record a lot!
Not sure. I purchased it on Amazon in the US. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0767LVQG2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
