My problems with that are I basically can't stand television, & I've discovered that for me, once I discover a character via books first, (& with Harry Bosch I lucked out & discovered him when the 1st novel came out in paperback), the shows & usually the movies as well, never match the vision of them that the books created for me. So I'm always disappointed by them. I prefer my fictional characters from the printed page to remain on the printed page.

I'm waiting for the inevitable reboot with an all female cast.

Even though Connelly wrote and created the tv series and was an executive producer?

Even though he's involved. They had to retcon Bosch in order to update the story to current times, so that's annoying, & I really don't watch TV. Plus I'd have to sign up for a streaming service to view it & since I don't watch TV I'd prefer not to do that.

I find that very surprising to hear. I was a crime & mystery book junkie long before the peak tv era. To me all these amazing crime drama tv series are a crime & mystery book junkie’s dream come true.

Some of us just aren't into TV. I enjoy watching movies, but haven't much cared for TV shows in years.

I don’t watch tv either, but I binge watch tv series’s in the past 10 years as long as there’s a dvd ( blu ray ) option.

Never seen any of them. Justified was the last show I actually watched. Before that it was 24.

    24 was indeed very good.

My problems with me sitting & watching TV are varied.

Virtually every TV show simply annoys me in some form or another. If not immediately, the annoyance becomes cumulative with repeated viewings.

I no longer have the patience to watch multiple episodes so the storyline can unfold.

Any time I'm watching TV, I always feel like I'm wasting time that could be spent in pursuits I find more rewarding & enjoyable.

Even though I understand that people find shows enjoyable, to me watching TV has always felt like a habit as much as anything else. And, I got out of the habit of watching TV several decades ago when I worked 2nd & 3rd shift for many years. I wasn't exposed to the latest "must see" shows, so I had no interest in or connection with them. I never really got back into the habit after that.

Real time I stopped watching 1976. Started watching ( taping vhs) in the eighties .. ditto into the nineties. But didn’t record watch tv 1999- 2011... that’s when I started buying films / tv series ( so I had a decade of stuff to watch for the first time). Still don’t watch real time / or Netflix.

Watched The Expendables II the other night. Have to concede it’s a mini classic. Lotta action Jet Li.. Jason Statham in particular. Good sixties soundtrack. Would like to see The Expendables vs Predators movie.

Track them .. find them .. kill them
