I hate these whole teaser/buildup things...just tell me when I can actually listen to the album. But I know he's going to do everything the old fashioned way. At least the 20 second clip sounds really cool. Love how prolific he's been over the last 5-6 years and how great most of the albums have been.

Though he was releasing the vinyl version of Wake Up The Nation 10th anniversary this spring, guess that's gone now.

March/April 2021 was the estimate. Been keeping an eye out for pre-orders, but not seen anything yet.

I'm excited for this like any PW record, but man, it's 3 months from now. Just do a Taylor Swift and announce it May 13th.

Jesus this guy doesn't stop does he?

Most of his albums in the past 10 years have all been great too.

not sure what the name means, but I'm into him making a straight up fat pop (whatever that means) album. I don't ever expect him to do anything that sounds like a Jam throwback, but if he wanted to channel the energy and pop smarts of his old band in a modern context, I would 100% be into it.

"There's a track called Fat Pop, which pretty much sums up the album. There's 12 really fat Pop songs on it, so I guess that's what I was thinking. They feel meaty and chunky and melodic. In our own arrogant way, we thought they could all be singles!" - PW (Uncut Magazine)

With my iPad in one hand and Shazam on my phone in my other hand, I’ve got bits of:
    • Fat Pop
    • Still Glides The Stream
    • Shades of Blue
    • In Better Times
    • Glad Times
Shazam also calls that earlier tune “Cosmic Fringes”, fwiw.

I wasn’t going to buy On Sunset, but then I heard a few songs and that was that. Brilliant album.

So I don’t expect I’ll hesitate with this one. I have all his albums, so one or two more won’t hurt.

For those with a VPN, there’s a video for Cosmic Fringes available “Friday” (already there in NZ/AUS).
Strike that, it’s already out in the US, too.

Wow, I'd gladly pay $90 for the deluxe vinyl box set, but not with $57 shipping... no US-based source so far.
$148.27 to get it to my door...
    :(

His webpage has many variants, including that vinyl box I linked earlier and a “Completist’s Set” that’s £42, with Red Vinyl, the 3cd box, and a cassette.

Don’t see any signed options tho. :(
