Daniel Carter, Matthew Shipp, William Parker, Gerald Cleaver Welcome Adventure! Vol. 1 2020, 577 Records
Never heard these guys before, but yours and TGHEMR's (@bzfgt ) posts have made me very curious, even though the last thing I need is another rabbit hole.
I’ve got Going Steady on now, thanks. This one has a nice mellow atmospheric vibe too and the subtle, complimentary touches with synthesizer give it a different feel than Roped In.
I know there are some Joy of Cooking buffs in the Grateful Dead fandom... turn me on to them, tell me about them, I'm only vaguely familiar.
Yes. Here’s the opening track on disc two: Really though, the entire Mighty Baby debut LP is excellent, although “Egyptian Tomb” works well on a compilation like this too.
I'm ambivalent about the rejiggered tracklist, though I think it works well. The Royal Albert Hall show though? Absolutely worth the price of admission. It's so great to finally have a more "representative" show that emphasizes the group dynamics and the guys all by themselves. Don't get me wrong, I love Rock of Ages and The Last Waltz, but it's so cool to hear them without all the guests and hoopla and without the horns.
Deserves a link brother! Kesik Çayır, by Altin Gün Chose this cause I really dig Merve's voice with that neofunk, indie, world beat.
