I'm looking forward to seeing it but the only way I want to see it is in the theater...so maybe in a month or so?
Per Wikipedia, I propose a similar test for any kaiju film. The more instances the film features at least two humans talking to each other about something other than the giant monster at the heart of the film, the worse the film gets.
i wonder if kong and 'zilla would be open to a "third party negotiator" film down the road to settle their beefs?
Film Theory coming in hot* with a spicy take on who might win this bad boy: (*video released three weeks ago, prior to the film's release)
It's cute there's so much conjecture about the winner when there's zero chance anything will be definitive since no studio wants to give up future appearances. At best, one or both could sustain serious wounds. It appears Kong is being set up as the "hero" in this encounter but even Zilla gets a sort-of good guy edit from time to time. For me, the big reptile has more going for him what with the fire breath and size but everybody loves an underdog.
I meant a stand-alone BD which often comes out first if only by a few weeks. Oh and there's supposed to be another 4K release around the same time compiling the last 4 films.
It just occurred to me that almost every dinomonster has had sequels or re-imaginings but what about Gorgo? Even the dumb Mothra larvae got extra screen time!
This was way dumber than I would it would be. It’s just amazingly bad. Nice visual effects. It’s like they took all the writers (they had a writer’s room with about 8 writers they hired to pitch ideas) and they threw all these ideas on a wall from other bad movies. Still, it was entertaining in its badness. Just my opinion.
Everybody loses LOL. Seriously, this is a perfect homage to the Toho films that they made in the 60’s. It’s just better looking. It’ll tickle your inner 5-8 year old.
All my hopes were dashed. Still, entertaining in its badness. Luckily I didn’t have to pay for it. Watched on HBO Max.
