    Yes, but basically two situations.
    1. Buying a physical product from an independent artist that only has material out on CD rather than vinyl.
    2. Used CDs, mainly of music from the 1990s. It's pretty easy to buy lots of inexpensive CDs from this time period of albums that either never came out on vinyl, came out on vinyl in the day in very limited quantities and is now going for more than I wish to pay, or stuff that is available on reissue but I don't have an endless supply of money to buy every vinyl record I'm half-interested in.

Yes it is. The 2010 series was being discontinued and the local dealer offered the last one for half the price. Couldn’t resist.

Not at all aggressive or harsh. Aggressive (forward) or analytical sound is the last thing I’m looking for. Compared to my previous CDP (Yamaha) it’s rather warm/musical sounding. Definitely not neutral.

It does benefit from some warming up. I planned on connecting it to my Exposure DAC and do some comparisons but haven’t got around to it. I don’t use it very often but I’m not ready to give up my CD collection.

I've been on a Joe Zawinul / Weather Report binge lately (I actually knew him fairly well). I had a few of the LP's but decided I wanted to own all the Weather Report titles so I ordered them from various ebay sellers. Most were just $3-5 each.

CD isn't a perfect format but it's pretty good. I like having the artwork and wanted physical copies of all those titles. It seems like I actually stream less and less these days.

Yes. I like music regardless of physical format. Plus, if it has good liners, it's easier to take to the potty.

Me too. Since the start of the pandemic, I haven’t streamed music that much, but I’ve listened to plenty cd’s.

It’s a freaking golden time to be buying CDs. Cheap as hell !! My local library lets them go for not too much money ;)

My local local library got rid of their CDs some time ago. However, many people are disposing of their collections for little money.

    Almost exclusively; 99% used.

I pick up an LP, cassette or 7" single once in a blue moon.

Still am buying CDs, but at a much reduced rate due to pretty much having run out of storage capacity and having bought up the catalogues of bands I really like. I stream a lot now searching for new music. If I find that I am listening to a certain new band a lot more than I am listening to my current CD collection or random streaming then I will purchase a couple albums from that band. If those albums remain on high rotation for an extended time then I will usually try to grab up as much of their catalogue as I can otherwise I go back to streaming and my search.

No music purchases in a long time, although I was tempted by an estate state. The only things I have purchased in the last 6-7 years where on bandcamp.

I wonder if we will ever see some kind of rebound in CD prices. I bet we will. However I don’t think it will be like vinyl but it will happen. Look at cassettes !! It’s a matter of time imo :) Meanwhile getem cheap ! ;)

I think it's already starting to happen with specialist out of print titles. I was very into reggae about 15 years ago then lost interest for a long time and have recently got back into it. I'm finding that CDs that I missed that came and went in that time are often £20+. They'll have only cost around £7 new at the time.

A round silver thing with a hole in the middle that they used to put Dire Straits albums on in the 80s.

I still buy cds, but it’s mainly of an archival nature, ie boxed sets of albums I like or love and groups I want to have collections of.

The new car is a loaner from the dealership until they sort out a recall issue. It's taking a long time though. So, the car without a CD player found me.
