Fletch Lives seems to be totally forgotten, which is a shame, I thought it was better than the original.

Along those lines, the fourth Texas Chainsaw movie, The Return of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a.k.a. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation from the mid-'90s did almost no box office and seems to be forgotten despite the fact it had early roles for Matthew McConaughey and Renée Zellweger.

And the other mid-90s city-switching sequel to a 1981 film:

    Escape from L.A.

Some fans of John Carpenter seem to hate Escape from L.A., for being too silly and humorous. I loved it. I think the switch to satire and goofiness was meant to reflect the change in setting, from the urban sprawl of New York to the plastic dream factory of L.A.
