one of the lists online had Over The Top. Generally movie considered average, but I like it. It's kind of a father-son bonding trip movie, set to the sound of Kenny Loggins and Giorgio Moroder :D

I guess Blues Brothers is technically a road trip movie?

  8. Where can you find a physical copy of this movie?
I have not looked in a while, but last time I could not find anything.
A DVD version would work nicely.

how about The Getaway (1972) or the 1994 remake. It's also a sort of a road movie, I love it especially the ending with the old cowboy

Dutch (1991) is also a good road movie, with Ed O'Neill and produced by John Hughes

I think Cold Mountain (2003) is also a road movie, showing main character as he travels back home and people he meets.

Sorcerer with the Tangerine Dream soundtrack, nice one. :righton:
Just added The Wages of Fear by Clouzot to my Criterion Channel watch list, have never seen it. :tiphat:

Just watched Roy Scheider in 2010, I suppose we are only listing terrestrial road trips.
How about train rides, like Silver Streak?

    Vanishing Point

Even the remake is decent, just missing some of the cultural zeitgeist:
