Depending on your expectations, I think this line of Marantz integrateds in their respective price ranges are class leaders. Enjoy.

Expectation is somewhat high as the amp it is replacing is really nice sounding but I am tired of the problems with it.

Are we cool? Started a little early.....Here's to you and the new gear! I felt some 30's Woody Herman was cool for this moment over here on a Marantz Reference amp in celebration of your new Marantz!

So far the only good thing I can say about the PM8006 is it is dead silent with no input.

It is a bit early here, I will take a quick picture, post it then ready to pour in about 45 minutes. Maybe the Lagavulin will make it sound better.

Don't mind me......im just sipping Highland park and listening to tunes. Lost 2 family members last week so its been a little ruff. Your celebration is good about now, helps take my mind off things a bit.

Sorry to hear about the loss...let's just enjoy some tunes tonight. Tomorrow I will swap my Onkyo into the main system and try the Marantz in the bedroom. Maybe the Marantz just doesn't play well with the Elac Carina Towers.

That little Marshall Bluetooth speaker sounds better then the PM8006 with the Elac Carina's.

    Thanks bud!

The Marantz will be fine. Just has to runin a bit and you have to get accustom to the warm sound i'm sure. If its for your musical pleasure, just plug it into its permanent resting place and let it play. After a while it will come on song and be on point. You may even find i ta tad warmer than the Vincent.
