I'm was never bothered by the album cover - not McCartney's best but not his worst either.

Yes. They are meant to symbolically represent Venus and Mars.

I'm just glad it had those 3 stickers. Thats what made the packaging complete.

All subjective but I rate the covers of Imagine/Walls & Bridges/Double Fantasy/Ram/Tug Of War/McCartney/Ringo/Living In The Material World

I would also include the cover for Venus & Mars as I rather like it. Well designed and unique

Yeah, give him this to mass around with and keep him away from Stones, Who, Zeppelin, etc.

Don't think they'd mind, especially with the way he improves the sound.

Surround mixes frighten him. He's a newbie at it and it shows. He needs to assist Steven Wilson and learn how surround mixes are constructed. Gain confidence to go for it.

Appropriate for the time. Album artwork in general hit the skids
in the 80s due to the MTV influence and it's been downhill ever
    since the invention of Photoshop.

The only thing about the V&M package that strikes me as odd is the inner gatefold photo. I read the story behind it (Paul invited Hipgnosis' Aubrey Powell to do the design but then it turned out they already had the balls idea and wouldn't want anything else. So they hired Powell to shoot their photo in the desert instead).

But somehow the photo, while great on its own, doesn't really connect with the rest of that cover design, in my opinion.

I like the cover design quite a lot. The gatefold desert photo is fantastic.

I found this online fairly recently...certainly never saw it then. They all looked very seventies...a great era, my senior year of high school.

  22. It’s a cool looking commercial but I don’t know about the song fragments included. I would have gone a bit more rock and less You Gave Me The Answer/Treat Her Gently.

Mid 70's spaced out album cover. Paulie's homage to Floyds 1973 The Dark Side Of The Moon album.

    Love it.

Ah...but I love those songs on V&M, made it a unique type seventies album, .....some more traditional rock type songs displayed on WOA, in the tour and in rock show.
