This version of Eurythmics "You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart" from Friday Night Live was always a favourite of mine back in the late 80s. Brilliant from Annie.
I remember this from my teenage years. Iggy Pop behaving in an inappropriate manner with an oversized teddy bear on British children's Saturday morning TV show Number 73. How rude!
My wife & I discovered The Zoo in the early 90's when we were dating; just ran across this performance and have enjoyed multiple viewings. Shakin' the Cage indeed!
Most of my favorites are here already, the SNL performances by Neil, Sturgill, Elvis Costello, Elvis C and the Beastie Boys, the Letterman performance by Vintage Trouble... Here's one more I've always liked, Lemmy and Phil doing "Let It Rock" with Paul and the boys on the Late Show.
Yeah, it's pretty cool. Not the Dan Fogelberg that most people know. It's a far cry from "Longer", that's for sure. But Dan's versatility, both as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, is underrated. Those who claim that he never rocked out should also listen to "Times Like These" from The Innocent Age.
Australia's Triple J radio program gets in-studio artists to cover a song they don't know. They're given about half an hour to prepare, then it's go-time. I've often cited Norway's Aurora Askenes doing Massive Attack's "Teardrop" as a high point. Scroll in about a minute.
