No, but she is closely associated with hair metal of the 1980s, particularly Whitesnake and Ratt. Not at all a stretch to include her in the Music Corner.

I thought she had died a while back. Maybe I was thinking of Rainbeaux Smith.

No, but an ultimate sex symbol of 80's hair metal. So yes, the sad news belong here.

I debated about what section this thread should be posted in. IMO she was much more famous for being in the Whitesnake videos, being married to David Coverdale, being Robin Crosby's girlfriend and being the cover model on Ratt's first two albums than she was for being in a couple of B movies and reality shows so I posted in the Music section. The powers that be don't agree and have decided it's more appropriate to move this thread to the Visuals forum.

I remember her well in the Whitesnake videos when I was in high school and more recently on the Celebrity Rehab show with Dr. Drew. RIP

I bet it was a drug problem she had that led to her death, considering her rehab stints. RIP.

I remember she also replaced Dave Coulier's first co-host on America's Funniest People, Arleen Sorkin.

That's a very easy assumption to make but at this point it's pure speculation. She could have died of Covid, a brain aneurysm or a heart attack. We won't know anything for sure until the medical examiner releases their findings.

Prior to Covid, she was on the schedule for a local horror convention, but she cancelled at the last minute. I was gonna get her to sign my copy of Bachelor Party and ask if she'd dance on the hood of my Ford Taurus. Most recently, I saw her in one of her earliest roles: The Perils of Gwendoline in the land of the Yik-Yak. Rest in peace.

    Sigh ...

If you were a young lad who came of age in the 80s, you knew Tawny. And certainly wanted to know her better.

    RIP Tawny.

From this crowd I'm going to guess - based on that last question - the NEXT question will be, "...but how is she as a mastering engineer?"

She was a big name from the '80s. Why do I feel like I saw more reporting on it when Amanda Peterson from You Can't Buy Me Love died? Tawny was a much bigger deal. Admittedly I forgot about Tawny. I would've checked out her YouTube channel if I had been thinking about her.
