Agree 100%. Julia Roberts' smile always gets me. Always thought she is beautiful and also had that unique star quality that is so rare nowadays.
"The Honey Bunches of Sadness Story" has been in development hell for years due to this very reason. Can't find an actor who can do me justice.....
Lyle Lovett has had roles in three Robert Altman films: Short Cuts, Ready to Wear, and Cookie's Fortune. (The first two were released while he was married to Julia Roberts from 1993-1995. So maybe those roles were favors to her?) He also appeared in The Opposite of Sex. To me, his acting is wooden and flat.
That's some extreme cherry-picking of photos! "Let's compare McArdle as a kid in a role that requires her to look plain with a glamour promo photo of Garland to prove I'm right!"
The photo of Andrea is from Rainbow, she is portraying Judy Garland. And I hardly consider that photo of Garland a "glamour" photo. I think this one better qualifies:
It's still apples/oranges to take a screengrab from a movie - a scene that clearly intends to show the character in "real life" - and compare it to a professional publicity picture. Also, AA was only 14 in that still, whereas I would guess JG was older in the publicity still. If the page I found is correct, here's JG at 14. Apples/apples:
I think Judy was 17 in the first photo. Here are Screengrabs of Andrea of Andrea and Judy as Dorothy:
And you're still comparing a 14-year-old to a 17-year-old. This is really a weird discussion anyway...
Elvis - another guy too good looking for his own good. And speaking of, WHO the Hell could EVER play Brando? You'd need an actual clone...
