The full tracklist has been posted on IORR IMWAN • [2021-07-09] The Rolling Stones "A Bigger Bang Live On Copacabana Beach" multiple configurations (Rolling Stones)
The mix induces ear fatigue - sounds like they are playing inside an oil drum. 2 hours of that is not an option unfortunately.
The Japanese version of the box come with a Bonus DVD: "Rio de Janeiro Documentary", probably the same film that has already been released on the Biggest Bang 4DVD Box in 2007. Source: Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang Live At Copacabana Beach
Have they now paired a gaudied-up vinyl release in recent years to every post-1989 PPV/filmed for release type event?
Its nice to see they did 4 new tracks from the then current album, however the rest of the set list I can give a miss
all of these releases are this way. The Atlantic City one is unlistenable…I pulled my old bootleg version out of my mac’s trash bin as soon as I heard it.
I can’t get too excited by this. Maybe it’s just me but these live discs seem to be interchangeable and not in a good way.
It's really a shame since they have the soundboard multi tracks and could dial the instruments and vocals in nicely. I have a couple of these releases and I just blank out after a while and lose interest in what I am listening to.
it really is. I think the mixes themselves are fine, Clearmountain does a good job…then someone destroys them at the mastering stage. I’m tempted by the vinyl but just too pricey for something that still might not sound great.
So, one of the discs in the Biggest Bang set from 2007 gets its own set? As I recall it was the disc I enjoyed the most from that.
Plus 4 tracks that weren't included back then minus the documentary (unless you buy the Japanese edition)
The Copacabana concert was shown in a theater near our home a few days after the actual concert. My wife and I went, it was a lot of fun, and the theater was packed. I will probably order the Copacabana + Salt Lake City Blu ray.
Nice to see Keith with a Tele Custom, even if it was, tragically, converted to 5-string use. What date was the Salt Lake City show? Was it a pay-per-view or something or is it previously unreleased? I guess I’ll get this because we get two shows...but I remembered that I bought Atlantic City but have never even opened it.
They palyed SLC on Tuesday, November 22, 2005. The Rolling Stones Salt Lake City Nov. 22 2005 show by IORR Afaik, only a few songs were released, not the whole gig.
I was looking forward to a release from the Bigger Bang tour but again only 3 or 4 songs from the album amongst the usual set list. Would have quite liked a show or shows that included Street of Love, Biggest Mistake and Laugh, I Nearly Died. Still....tempted by the vinyl.
One wonders when they get to the 2012 PPV from New York, with lots of guest bonus feature options from the other nights. There's also been nothing from 2017/2018/2019 beyond that HONK bonus cd. The youtube teaser implies they re-cut the COPA video editing, but not 100% sure.
Since I have most of the show on Biggest Bang DVD set, this time I am out.... and for the four missing songs I am sure to have them on various other live CDs too....I would rather like to see a stand alone release of Brussel Affairs....
