Natalie Wood in Rebel without a Cause

I did a quickie and noticed there are many threads on Nat which are closed.
Natalie Wood remains to date my fav American actress of all time. Since I saw her for the first time in RWAC, l simply couldn't take my eyes off her . The scene I like the best is when she flags the guys to start the chicken race......unforgettable emblem of an entire generation !!!!!

If you watch the movie "The candidate" with Robert Redford, she makes a brief appearance as herself.
As soon as she walks in the room you know that's a special looking woman.

 

Who’s RJ?

 

People who are into cinema and Hollywood often call Robert Wagner "RJ" = Robert John Wagner (Natalie's ex husband).

 

Nat (for die-hard fans) WAS a special woman

 

Never did that myself. Maybe NW nickname.

i was working in a Theatre once, and RW ( he was sitting in the circle ) pushed back to curtains to tell me to be quite.. I was working in the bar.. guess my voice was loud .. give me a stern look lol

 

Marti Rulli calls him RJ, the Splendour's (yacht) skipper calls him RJ, Christopher Walken calls him RJ, many movie critics call him RJ and Lana Wood, Nat's sister calls him RJ.

 

Natalie Wood divorced Robert Wagner and then remained him.
They were married when she died. I wouldn't classify him as her EX.

 

My bad, she had married Gregson and remarried Wagner later on.....

As a 12 year old boy I had a crush on Natalie after seeing her in West Side Story, she was a Saint! The following year my parents took us to Radio City Music Hall on Easter to see the The Great Race. I'll never forget how gorgeous my "saint" looked all tarted and gartered!

 

My favorite of her movies is probably Splendor In The Grass.

I developed a huge crush on her after seeing Sex And The Single Girl. It wasn't until later I realized she was the little kid in Miracle on 34th Street.

 

Wagner was blamed for her death. Suspicious circumstances, her drowning.
