Three tracks were played on KBOO radio Portland earlier today. Sounds like Tim's vocal stays in the right channel

I ordered both titles and the Ali Akbar Khan cd arrived in the mail yesterday. I’ve been listening to it all day and I really enjoy this release. What an unexpected little surprise.

Understood, and I wish we could change that. Unfortunately, our merch folks tell me it's a Brexit issue, the red tape from that combined with the surge in international e-commerce is what's making it super costly to get stuff over there. So unless we manufacture product there, UK folks are going to have to shoulder the costs of regional political idiocy....

Years after it seemed out of print, I bought German manufactured CD of In Concert 1972 of Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan in Japan. It is a great album.

Yes Merch Mountain are taking the pi$$ with there shipping pricing.

When it becomes available on Amazon.com you will see by how much.

To be honest this pricing issue is more down to to much competition free market, if postal services were still a monopoly of state owned enterprises it would be a fraction of the cost.

This release is stunning. So, anyone able to find the downloads for the 2 tracks mentioned in the liners? I thought it odd when directed to a page that hasn't been updated in a decade.

I'm keen to order this...and no doubt will but this is the second time there has been download exclusive stuff, right? The Commander Cody set had several full shows available to download, whereas the CD set just highlighted one. Mind you...I never actually found where to download the multiple complete shows so maybe I got that wrong.

...and I just did order it. Would still like to know how to get the full Commander Cody digital release.

  16. What are the 2 downloadable tracks? Thanks.

  17. Woops. Just found these. "Happy Time" and "Hi Lily, Hi Lo" from June 15, 1968.

  18. I do wish some of the '74/'75 concerts had been recorded. Do you have any memories of those concerts?

Good ones; reflective of the LPs (Sefronia, etc.) tight, energetic, and mostly shorn of the 'folkie' elements from the first few, yet nowhere as "jazzy/out there" as Starsailor (which I also like, and always have).

He was in Michigan a lot back then, I just discovered, more than I had realized; the 2 shows I saw were the 1973 ones at The Brewery.
