Glad you sent me this reply. I haven't been getting any notifications so I'm now several days behind. I'll look forward to listening to the links over the weekend.

Eurovision final tomorrow. There was a really decent pop rock song from Portugal's The Black Mambas, a nice, laid-back bluesy number from Belgium and the Finnish nu-metal effort (one wag referred to them as Helsinkin Park) that all qualified from the semi-finals. Along with Maneskin, that's at least four entries that would fit nicely on this thread.

 

Odd about the notifications but it happens to me too now and then. Did you see Sweden this week? That's why I made that comment last week

I've been keeping lose tabs on Eurovision as well and hope Maneskin pull it off or at least one of the others you cited. We'll see! (I've posted Blind Channel here as well before and know the Black Mamba but haven't been posting the Portugal charts of late given the lack of interest on the forum though I still go through it for myself...)

 

Every now and then threads that I'm interested in fall off my notification radar. Mildly annoying but given how much traffic this site gets, understandable.

Sweden's entry wasn't fab, was it? Bless,'em . The Black Mamba song (correcting myself - no plural!) is terrific as is Belgium's entry by Hooverphonic. Blind Channel are not really up my street. Of the bands you've posted recently I'd have preferred Finland be represented by Battle Beast, Wintersun or someone like that. Having said that, they would at least be an interesting winner and an escape from the blandness of the majority of the entries. I still think Maneskin have the best chance though.

 

Oh I'd definitely prefer Battle Beast for Finland among others but as things stand, I hope Maneskin do well.
