Any song by Don McLean that isn't American Pie is quite obscure. Anyone who begs to differ, name five other songs by him.

Valerie Carter had one of the great voices in music. Despite close relations with Lowell George, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Steve Winwood
and others she could never get her solo career to take off. I always thought that was a travesty. Still love her album "Just A Stones Throw Away".

Before collaborating with Norah Jones, Jessie Harris was in "Once Blue" with Rebecca Martin. One of my favorite Sunday morning albums, and Ms. Martin should have been (should be) much bigger. I remember when that first Norah Jones album came out, I said "damn, that sounds like Once Blue". Not a coincidence.

Beloved Austin band The Gourds doing Snoop Doggs Gin And Juice. My favorite cover ever. I'm
going to call it the best mandolin solo ever on a rap song.

Well, I would regard crying, wonderful baby, fools paradise, and every day as quite obscure as far as renditions by Don McLean go unless a fan of his. The others mentioned too. I like this thread in that I enjoy music that’s off the beaten path, especially vintage stuff!

Wazoo - Wazoo (1970) - I bought this off good ole ebay back in the early 2000s purely based on the description, can't remember what it said now though. I was and am still blown away by it.

Here is a two-fer. I fun little band, (just two of them here) called Hank Sinatra doing a great song by Phil Lee who also doesn't get much recognition. Livin' in a trailer park never was as good as this song. "It's got a lot of soul and smells like socks."

Here’s a piece of early 80’s power pop by a Chicago band by the name of, The Reason.

Here's Phil Lee doing Daddy's Jail. Interestingly this is based on a grain of truth. Lee's Daddy was a Jailer with the Durham County Sheriff's Department and he got locked up once there despite his pleadings.

I’m sold. Love the songs and the sounds. Faint of Heart from the Sonic Temple Session is power pop genius. Where can you get Sonic Temple Session? Is it on a BluRay or streaming somewhere?
