Probably another video. Possibly something about the Wildflowers documentary but they are more likely to start trailing that after they have made the most of the STO revamp.

So far the “special announcement” is heavy promotion for the upcoming Angel Dream release; it’s not uninteresting, but it’s also not new. I’m still listening mostly because they’ve previewed that Dana Petty will be speaking. (They are playing one of the previously unreleased tracks, One of Life’s Little Mysteries, right now.)

that is a pretty big letdown considering this was already on the TP webpage for ordering for weeks now. :( hopefully, the documentary will get a release announced now too.

It was nice to hear the studio recording of Thirteen Days. I’m excited for the new release. Maybe I’m an easy sell, but I like how the team is reconceptualizing the She’s The One soundtrack album into a coherent collection.

Per Jonathan Wilson's Instagram post, it appears Benmont has wrapped up recording a new solo album.

This would be great news! Mike Campbell has implied he's working on a new Dirty Knobs record at the moment as well.

Mike has more than implied, he outright posted a video on IG saying 'come on boys let's make a record.' with the DK. :)

What are the impressions of She’s the One Redux? Are the extra songs worth it?

Apropos of nothing, just sending out this very beautiful version of It'll All Work Out I came across. Have a look at this person's channel, as it has some real rarities, even if many are rough audience recordings. There's a slight error in the information. There was a show before this, on 14 Oct (I was there), and Bobby Valentino did not make it that night, sadly.

Ok, I need to set the record straight, as I got it wrong on this quoted post [stupid memory!] and I thought it would fit better here than the Angel Dream thread, so here we are...

I looked at the Playback notes again last night and I did not find such a quote from Stan like the one I remembered. [It may have been in a magazine article at some point... I definitely don't have the time right now to dig it up.] But there was a paragraph where Tom was saying that Iovine wasn't happy about how Hard Promises turned out because he thought it was too "scattered" and should have followed the winning formula for Torpedoes, and pushed for that with Long After Dark. Tom wasn't happy about it but gave in, although he regretted it afterwards and felt he was being "painted in a corner". He also said that Keeping Me Alive and Turning Point were more in the direction he wanted to go in.

Ooh semi-official confirmation of a Filmore box…and maybe some expanded album boxes? My kinda gossip :)

As a side question, I am surprised a vinyl Playback box never comes up in conversation. I’d love one!

I've been dreaming of a Filmore Box for a decade or so. I probably have about half of the 1997 run already but I would gladly pay for a pro mix of it.

It was 20 nights of shows and much more variety than the typical show. The individual setlists are here:

But reading upon this dvd, it was recorded in 1999. This Fillmore they are talking about is 1997... probably not much different... or is it?

Looks like you may be right as I see where it was filmed in March of 1999.

There's definitely no resemblance between the normal tour date captured in '99 and the special run of free-range setlist shows done in '97.
