I actually like ' Dark Horse ' quite a bit.
It's the dark horse in his catalogue.
I think it gets a bad rap because it's associated with that tour.

Cloud Nine is pretty fantastic. It has some great songwriting on it. This is Love and When we was Fab are super singles. I love Jeff Lynne producing though.

    Cloud 9.
    The only album ‘up there’.

  5. Yes Wonderwall is probably his second or third best album.

Cloud Nine is a favourite, but I've become very partial to the Self Titled LP over the last couple of years, especially the first side.

Cloud Nine is my favourite GH album. 2nd ATMP, 3rd GH1979 and Brainwashed tie.

Living in the Material World has become my favorite Harrison album over the last year. For some reason the songs just keep floating back into my mind and I find myself humming them more often.

What about the glory that is Electronic Sound, I've actually listened to it all the way through on several occasions. Bernie Krause screwed around on the Moog to show George what it could do, little did he know that George was thinking "This could be on side 2 of the album!" what a move that was.

IMHO, Living in the Material World is the only other Harrison album in the same league. The rest are substantially weaker.

I agree. I enjoy the other albums and they all have VERY bright spots on them.. but LITMW just front to back brings me joy and makes me want to relisten to it immediately.

I was disappointed in it at first coming after you know what but it was a grower. It has a beautiful majesty about it.

Brainwashed is my 2nd favorite...except for that terrible cover art on it.

  18. Brainwashed is great. The self titled album with the green portrait is one of his best sounding records.

Another vote for Cloud Nine. The others are dreary affairs IMO.

I like the 'George Harrison' LP a lot, it has a number of gorgeous tunes..... and most of 'cloud 9' and 'brainwashed' are pretty decent.

My favorite non-ATMP albums of his:

    Brainwashed
    Living in the Material World
    33 1/3

Unpopular opinion, but Cloud Nine is actually one of my least favorite George albums. Too much 80s synth for me.
