    1. there are cheaper ways to get the album than $150

    2. it's not a big box set

I'm surprised more people here aren't talking about the LPs. I would've thought that's what people would be more inclined to go for, but I guess you wouldn't be bothered if you already own other remasters. It seems like the Harrisons were more focused on those whereas it sounds like the Lennons put all their efforts into the CDs and didn't allow wiggle room with the LPs.

It's quite funny how people have been begging for a remix for at least 20 years, yet now the actual album part is barely being mentioned.

All Things Must Pass single was released in November so that would give you an idea of the mix.

I would assume that price will be going down at some point, no?

Not very tempted to get the Deluxe edition

I guess the remaster will be (yet again) loud and compressed
If so, I'll stick with the 24/96 HD remaster and the Japan CP 28 CDs

Get the Uber set. If all you want is the gnomoes and splinters from a firewood pile that someone found on George's property, I am sure you can recoup some decent money selling off the vinyl and CDs.

Anyone wanna take a guess on how many pages we’ll be up to by the time it’s released?

Thanks. I saw a comment upthread where some were thinking that the previously released/2020 remixed version of the title track may have been tweaked afterwards for this release. If not, great, we can get a solid idea.

The ATMP single had DR 6 (!)

Unlinke things have changed dramatically in terms of remastering, this will be another brickwalled Beatles-related release

  11. Only 972,734. Its not Paul McCartney after all!

That's because Dhani is sitting on the promo-only uber-rare version for close friends/family only, with exclusive kindling wood from Friar Park.

  16. The $60,000,000 question is whether the compression is "baked" into the mix or just an atrocious mastering job in the digital realm.

It seems to be the same size as the Wilburys box.

Yeah. To each their own, not to rain on the great parade here at all, rock on, but hearing this again makes me less willing to even shell out for the 3LP. I know it's partly just contrast from the original, and I always wanted to hear something that would expose the individual tracks better (tear down the "wall of sound" a bit), but more in an outtake/alternate sense then literally a new version of the whole thing. The voice sounds very forward, and it exposes aspects of the performance that the original 'wall' softened up. I think I'd prefer a pristine copy or reissue of the original mix, myself, if such a thing exists. I have that 2 CD version from around 2000, but I don't think that sounds very good either.

I’m crazy. But after waffling all day I pulled trigger on the massive box from US George Harrison store. I will just need to do more freelance work to pay that bill!

  21. At Amazon the 5/CD 1BD set is going for $150. Is that price going to go down at other outlets in the future?

Hoping the reported dimensions on the box are incorrect and the one Dhani is sitting on is the one we will get. It certainly would justify the 1000 dollar price tag.

Not many people know this, but Dhani is only three and a half feet (1.12 m) tall.
