Love the show -- I thought they're attempting some hardcore science fiction with comedy, which is an interesting idea. Loki strikes me as a combination of Men in Black, Back to the Future, Tenet, and several other shows and movies we've seen before, only with some interesting twists. I gotta say, though, I'm thrown by the visible damage of Owen Wilson's nose. What the hell happened to him?
Have you never seen Owen Wilson before? Maybe just not in 4K? From what I've read he doesn't talk about it, but the generally accepted answer is he broke it playing HS football.
definitely not a lot happening, but i felt the two leads have enough charisma to keep my attention. and the design is awesome. waaay better than the winter soldier snoozefest.
I don’t think his nose is worse than before, it just looks that way because of the angled overhead light. It is not flattering. I enjoyed the opener a lot more that TFATWS. JohnK
"Well it's not Coldplay. It's not Fix You." Yes! It's Carol! I love Sophia Di Martino. I don't care if she's The Enchantress or another version of Loki, she'll be a pleasure to watch.
I can see this as compelling drama and fantasy, but..."superhero"?! Dude's an arrogant god-figure, doesn't even respect humans as a species. Selfish, devious, cocky. His very motivations even take him out of the category of even "anti-hero". I'm with the storyline, just...don't call him a "superhero", is all.
Saw him twice, and decided The Boys was not for me. To his credit though, he is at least in the profession of saving humans on a regular basis.
Episode 3 was fun -- that's the Loki I was wanting to see. There's no way they walked all that distance in the time they did, but the banter was enjoyable.
episode 3 was definitely a little weak in the substance department, but man if it wasn't awesome looking and sounding. it felt heavily influenced by video games/blade runner/star wars but i'm still really enjoying it.
He was talking about episode three which premiered early Wednesday morning and is almost a "two-hander" between her and Tom Hiddleston.
