I want to thank you again for copy and pasting this video. I am still struggling.
I don't know if it pertains to this topic, but I want to download a Youtube video of Laura on the Kraft Music Theatre. This one is only a couple months old. The picture quality is much sharper, and she even looks prettier than she did in previous videos. I thought that I would bring it people's attention.

Like I said she looked gorgeous in al the video, but this video is especially flattering. She had the most beautiful hair and complexion,

Who doesn’t have original analog copies of these gems
You can pick them up now for next to nothing

I have been anticipating two of my favorites
    The Looms Desire
    Angel In The Dark

These are stellar and would have made the box set immensely more viable

This seems as good a place as any to post this, hope I am not doubling someone else's efforts. Thanks for the news about the two new releases on Omnivore, how I want that Lithograph, wasn't aware until I saw it here.
Just curious, does anyone have a high res photo of the alernative NYT cover? There is a scan on Discogs but fairly poor quality.

The link is to the adaptation of Been On A Train, wasn't aware of it until I was reading Michelle Kort's biography. (Which did not tell me what happened between her and Geffen, anyone know the full story and willing to share, here or by PM?)

Alvin Ailey also did a show of Laura's song called Quintet in 1968, It premiered in Edinburg. It later premiered in the U.S. in January 1969 at the Billie Rose Theatre.

The Canadian National Ballet also preformed a ballet called Brown Earth, the story of young female dancer featuring several of Laura's songs.

It's the Billy Rose Theatre. Now it is called the Nederlander Theatre.

There is an interesting short filmed called Emily on a web page for Jurgen Lutz, a German born Canadian artist.

the film is a pas de duex set to laura's song emmie, featuring the national canadian ballet dancers karen kain and gillian hannant.

I think that evasive answer would suggest they transferred the tapes to digital for cutting. Only way you are going to get AAA is if Sony give the original tapes to Ryan Smith at Sterling. If this is an independent release what masters did Sony send them? - certainly not the tapes.

From what I learned doing a search on the net, that clip come from a 1973 short film called NIGHT PASSAGE. It was commissioned for PBS, but Laura decided to keep it private.

I love her expression when she sings. You can't keep her eyes off her.

"Every time I see her face, It like warm embrace"

I can't get enough of watching that pretty, expressive countenance. My heart skips a beat when she closes her eyes and goes into a pensive "brown study", and then she shyly smiles when she gets applause .

There’s apparently a five-star review in Mojo magazine.

I like that Jim Farber wrote the liner notes. He is one a few American rock critics that really understands Laura.

One problem with the booklet is that interviews are with too many of the usual suspects.
