Steely Dan, 2vN: side 4 has the worst, most pointless etching ever :biglaugh:

Aren’t all etchings pointless, though? :D

Especially since they tend to cause dish-warping.

Flat and quiet so far (thankfully given the contents). Decent pressing. Sound is quite good.

The Who Face Dances sounds good to me. No pops on any of the 4 sides.

No mastering info on the Donnie Hathaway (hype sticker or dead wax), which seemed a little weird. Anyone give it a spin yet?

Tom Tom Club- The Good The Bad And The Funky. MPO pressing. Cool looking blue vinyl.

Mine is quiet. Decent pressing. Sound is good, but not spectacular...maybe a little flat sounding.

The "Animal Collective - Prospect Hummer" 12" sounds good to my ears. Some small noise in the quieter parts, but nothing distracting. 45 RPM. CB in the deadwax. Previous pressing of this i don't think has CB in deadwax according to Discogs.

Gotta disagree. Flat and quiet but disappointed in sound quality. I was just A-B ing to an original. my five year old picked the original, i have to agree. I think my expectations were too high.

dont have the original to compare. I’m sure you’ll be able to sell the new one rather easily to someone who wants one.

I’m listening to the Vanguard Chicago Blues comp disc 1 right now. The first disc is a little wobbly but doesn’t effect playback on my system. I’m really enjoying it, the drums (esp bass drum) are very present which isn’t the case usually on a lot of this era of releases.

I will report back on my experience with my other stuff as I get around to it. I got the Kenny Dothan, Monk, Rage against the Machine and the Dead box

My Lips release is definitely a wobbler ,

getting some significant surface noise as well. Anyone else having issues? Or did I get unlucky here?

Cut at Well Made Music, not sure were it was pressed. Quiet flat pressing. Sounds fine. The live material "is what it is", the remix material sounds quite good.

Those records are usually pressed at Gotta Groove in Cleveland, OH. where WELL MADE MUSIC is also located. The fact that the vinyl is a 'quiet flat pressing' confirms that it is the folks at GGR who pressed this. The best plant in the U.S.A., in my opinion.

Slight dish warp on disc 1 here as well, and slight warp on disc 3, but both play fine. The drums do sound great and the overall sound quality is solid - my copy has a bit of noise between tracks

I am unable to get out to a store today. Hoping some will have online after tomorrow or whenever they normally do. Also in the market for Keith Richards' single and possible the Bigger Bang Stones release.

Fantastic job. Flat vinyl, really quiet. Sounds fantastic. I’m really happy about this one. I like this album a lot and this is a top notch presentation.

Tom Tom Club: The Good, the Bad, and the Funky
Mine has a slight edge warp, but nothing to worry about. It’s reasonably quiet (background not completely black, but no noise that intrudes into the music). This was an impulse purchase and I don’t know the original album. But it sounds like what I’d expect from something recorded in 1999.
