    She's the greatest.

Seek out HBO'S "Funny or Die" series short, "Magical Balloon", for later day genius from Karen (not to mention Bud Cort).

I guess this is another thread I can't read because no one believes in using the spoiler button above, to prevent ruining a movie for someone possibly.
I mean, one can have seen her in movies and liked her, but not seen *everything*!
Glad I already had seen that one.

It’s a 40-year-old film. And I don’t believe I’ve given away any major spoilers, anyway. You’d have to be pretty thick not to cop to Karen Black’s character long before she even appears on screen.

I'm still waiting for Law & Disorder, a pretty much forgotten 1974 dramedy, to reappear on disc. KB has a small role but is hysterical, particularly in a scene with Ernest Borgnine both of whom play hairdressers. YT has the whole movie but no clips with her.

She was on Mannix once. She had kind of a blank quality, where she disappeared into the role. Not something you typically saw on TV.

Exactly, Karen Black starred or co-starred in many movies including the ones posted here up to now, BUT she was TOPS in Trilogy of Terror.

Yes, she was Chuck Heston's girlfriend/flight attendant in AIRPORT 75.

Trilogy of Terror scared the sh#t out of me. I watched it on a late night movie as a young teenager and didn't sleep at all that night.

I only saw the 1st of the 3. My mom made me go to bed because it was a school night. Guess I have to stream it to fix that.

Depending on how old you were, Mom probably did you a favor. I watched far too many horror shows as a child and had nightmares for years!

It still is one of the scariest horror trilogies in cinematography. The 90s remake is good, but it lacks one important element: Karen Black.

I believe the house in Burnt Offerings is the same house that's used in the movie Phantasm. Though in Phantasm it's just the outside shots and made to be the mortuary an cemetery. I also believe that place is in the Oakland Hills CA. Which is odd as I believe Phantasm is mainly filmed in Oregon or somewhere Pacific NW.

    Cheers
