Totally fair! That’s the record I really love, too, so I always wished they’d released a live album from that tour/era.

Good to know. I figured this would be the case. I was too eager to listen to it that I didn’t take the time to do a wet cleaning first.

I 've never bought one, cause I like to play my records.

I feel the picture discs is more a collectable then musical product, which would be perfectly fine if all the records plants weren't overload right now.

But hey, it's RSD so they'll press all sort of rarities... I never thought that I would see an AC/DC picture disc, but... yeah, it's so obvious!

It's the most demanding sonically of all their music. Tells me it was all studio mastery. But I still love it to the max!

Second best? Zenyatta Mondatta. Play Voices Inside My Head live, would ya guys? I wanna see Stuart pound the drums like a banshee.

Gateshead '82 could remedy that. Probably will never happen, though.

I've only listened to the A side so far, but I'm a little bummed about the Petty release. Super noisy record. Gave it a good cleaning prior to playing it too. It's cut by CB but on transparent blue wax. It will be released on standard black vinyl next month and so I'm hoping that that copy will sound better. From a music standpoint it's great, but the underlying surface noise is a real distraction.

    have been warned.
Could be my sleeper pick up of the day.
Amazing sound! New songs on side 1 are good, especially the title track. Bodes well for the upcoming album. The live tracks on side 2 are jaw droppingly good. Love Radio Silence! These guys still have the goods. Long Live 1978! That’s what this sounds like.

Is this going to get a wider release? As if this wouldn't sell a ton more....

I prefer the 1982 shows that were filmed in South America. The band sound stiff and mechanical at Gateshead

I'd say this Face Dances is a perfect reissue (and a bargain at Vertigo Music in Grand Rapids) BUT...

I'm listening to LP1 and wondering where are the high frequencies!? Is this some bum digital master pig that they put a layer of lipstick on?

Low end sounds fine, an album that has aged very well, beautiful package with the extra prints. Maybe my ears are tired at this late hour, but it sounds a little flat on top.

Haven't watched Gateshead in quite a while. What were the South American shows?

At the time, the show I caught in Pittsburgh in April was the best concert I had seen. The Ghost tour is under appreciated, and nothing has been officially released from it to my knowledge, aside from the Gateshead video, only in Japan.

FYI, The Police Live! 1995 and 2021 releases do not contain the full shows. Some of the reviews are incorrect.

For the Boston show, “Deathwish” (song 6 that night) and “Visions of the Night” (song 9) were heard on WBCN in late 1979. This would be during the heyday of local rock concert FM broadcasts. Those 2 songs are not on the official releases, RSD or otherwise.

    Just finished:
Ice Hockey Hair - Super Furry Animals

Total impulse buy because I love SFA. My copy is quiet and flat, sounds good (digital?).

They did mix up the order from the original EP by switching track 2 (originally Ice Hockey Hair) and track 3 (Mu-tron), but it kind of works.

My copy also has two side A labels.

I had an original black Island that I sold years ago, I just compared to my Culture Factory CD reissue and the new vinyl has more bottom end than that CD
