Latest JPC experience: Ordered the Harnancourt box on May 13, it was shipped on the 19th, and arrived today (June 15). It seems to have spent a lot of time in the hands of US Customs and then US Postal Service. (I live about 3 hours from Atlanta; the box arrived in Atlanta 4 days ago.)

It was packed perfectly: the Harnoncourt box was in a padded box, which was placed in another box, surrounded by foam peanuts. It arrived in pristine condition. I think they may have had to pack it that way because of the unusual shape of the box--it's 12 inches square by about 3 1/2 inches deep.

Three, two, one, a few more days until the Muti complete Warner and Orpheus Chamber complete DG boxes are released.
The date is June 18th. But will it be true? Amazon.de postpones the date of Orpheus chamber box to August 20th. We'll see what happens!

Most everyone except Amazon.it changed Orpheus to 08/20 a few weeks ago.

Don't know if you mean the 5 euros or the Previn set , but in any case, I took the refund, such as it was.

The refund - I got the box here myself. ;)

Also, this very minute, FNAC charged my credit card for $78.92 for the 91 CD Warner Muti box. Yay us, 87 cents per CD, bascially. :)

What a time to be alive! And thanks to the one who posted that price in here!

Has anyone got these? I'm interested but the price-to-content for some very old recordings is putting me off.

In addition to Robur and zarzuela above, my paypal account was charged £67 for the Muti box this morning also. It's happening!!!

After the popmarket debacle, I'm reluctant to celebrate too soon in case they send a single Muti disc or something (if they want to send Ornella Muti I would consider that an acceptable substitute).

My payment was just refused and the page to update my payment details on the FNAC site does not work. I'll keep trying and then mail their dedicated email address.

Sometimes credit cards are finicky - I have had some super regular music stores in and around Germany trigger the security alarm of a Visa card. I had to call the credit card company which unlocked the card and it worked without problems afterwards. Maybe worth a try?

Amex is more forgiving and might ask in an alert if that’s really you and then the purchase goes through right away. The joys of international mega box shopping.

    Much success to you!

I'm sure the issue is with the new security regulations for CC payments in Europe.
I can't update the card through FNAC's site, so I shot them an email. I suspect calling my CC company will prove useless as I don't even have a payment attempt but I'll try anyway.

    Thanks for your help!

You are welcome. :) Be encouraged to call the CC company. The store can’t do a thing if the card is blocking them. The attempts did not show up on my card last year either, the human in the CC fraud department needs to manually unblock it.

My PP account was charged too, 71 euros plus change.

Just checked the prices of the Kubelík Mercury Masters set on a few sites; rather steep indeed, I hope they'll come down a bit.

I'm also getting a bit wary of the number of "documentary" type discs in these sets - there are only 9 discs of actual recordings in the Mercury set, the 10th being "speaky" stuff. I think I counted 8 "docu-discs" in the Bruno Walter - Columbia set out of 77 discs.
