Someone put a lot of work into these theories about a new Iron Maiden album for 2021.

Check out this poster... no bands linked to it. Cannot find it on Google. At the bottom right, the numerals look to be IM 17, as in Iron Maiden 17 or their seventeenth album which the next would be. We think that the date is when we will hear something. July 15th.

And the cover of the new Fan Club magazine #117 has the 17 in gold.

    Interesting.
I enjoyed Book Of Souls and this is an interesting topic for an album.

    Hopefully it's on its way

Yep, it's indeed happening at last and nice to follow this go on. Fun and great times.
I was anyways already expecting any news or something regarding the album. I hope the album will be great and going to see my precious Maiden live next year.
So, looking forward the announcement, can hardly wait for the new material.

Couple pages that have the info, I visit them regularly but also look from the different forums.

    this has me VERY excited!!!!
i think the band has been on fire (mostly) since they got Bruce and Adrian back in '99 and have loved every album since (although The Final Frontier is easily
the worst of the 5, imo of course)

Can't wait for details of the next album!!

What are the chances they tighten up the arrangements ?

Hopefully non-zero, Book of Souls had some wayyyyy too long songs on it and this is from someone who liked The Final Frontier.

Fun! Maiden gets an auto buy anyway, but yay for games and intrigue.

Great news. It would be even better if it's 8 - 10 tracks and no longer than 45 minutes. The Book of Souls was fine but it took that level of excess as far as possible. Hopefully the production will be a lot better too.

But, looking forward to this one, they're always welcome! Up The Irons!

Nice to see such a fun way of leading up to the announcement.

^ It kind of looks like the skulls off the Final Frontier sleeve, maybe the artwork is by Melvyn Grant again. But where is Eddie? Wouldn’t it great if they just went balls out and paid Derek Riggs to do a great painting again?

It would be awesome to get Derek Riggs back to do the artworks.

I have a feeling all this lead up will just end up with another subpar album. Bring back the short snappy well produced songs and the occassional epic rather than the long boring stuff they seem to be so fond of.

This, but swap Final Frontier for Dance of Death. Brave New World is my favourite Maiden album. I love the sound of the band post reunion too. I know many don't get on with Kevin Shirley's work but it works for me.

Can't wait. Probably single and album announcement on the 15th I suppose, but I would love it if the album just dropped.

I'll have a listen to the new album but my expectations are pretty low. The band desperately need to work with someone new who is also willing to challenge decisions the band make in the studio, there is 0% chance of that happening as Steve Harris seems to be pretty hardheaded and the rest of the band lazy.

    Riggs is not coming back.

A friend of mine interviewed Melvyn Grant for Final Frontier and he said that the 'alien' on the cover was NOT Eddie...

I listened to The Number Of The Beast from Invaders to Hallowed last night after having not done a full listen in quite awhile and I was reminded that often, if the songs are strong enough, a short, 40+ minute album is just right.

70+ minutes of average material will always feel like a much longer listen.

I drifted away from Maiden after somewhere in time but I give them props for how their guerrilla marketing to tease a new release. Nice way to generate some buzz.

Get your wallets ready! I'm preparing for a new single as a teaser plus an album announcement - with all kinds of pre-order vinyl/cd/shirt/bundle options.

As a fan since the '80s I don't have any expectations. They can release whatever they want at this point (they've earned that right in my book). For better or worse, I'm just along for the ride...

I'd prefer it to just be "there." No teasers, no pre-releases. Just launch it unannounced. Iron Maiden is big enough to pull it off.
