I think the sale goes on for a while so you might still be able to get Grand Budapest at least. It’s fairly new so I would hope it would get restocked quickly.

We get a company discount but it comes off the list price of an item rather than the sale price - therefore I use my membership for this sale rather than my employee discount.

At this moment in time you are able to order the Grand Budapest Hotel in store to have

At this moment in time you are able to order the Grand Budapest Hotel in store to have shipped to your home. I just checked and there are copies in the warehouse. I think the Barnes & Noble system had a hiccup due to the huge demand.

When does it run through? I don't see an end date on the BN page.

Low stock on this sale, probably due to the pandemic. The selections at my local store have been picked through and aren't getting re-stocked as of yet.

The first day of the sale was insane! We sold out of a lot of the newer criterion titles at my store. We have had deliveries of most titles since then - although they sell pretty swiftly once we get them back in. Good job I'm ordering plenty in!

I guess people need something good to take their minds off the misery and pain 2020 has wrought. This sale has been crazy! I've noticed it too...Criterion browsers all up in my area this go-round. Usually I'm the only one around.

If a title is out of stock on the BN website, will an employee be able to order a copy for me in-store? Just wondering if there are different inventories. And, if they can, would the membership discount still apply since I'm ordering in the physical store? Sorry to pester you will all this but thanks!

No problem - always happy to help! I "get" the thrill of the hunt!

The membership discount should always apply when you are ordering from a physical store.

I do not know if they are different inventories.

An employee should be able to order something for you if it is in the warehouse. If it is not in our warehouse quite often our computer system will still let us order an item for a customer if quite a few other Barnes & Noble's have it in their stores (they then ship straight from another store rather than the warehouse). Even if your local store cannot order it for you an employee should be able to tell you which stores in the company have it in stock (you could then ring them up direct and pay over the phone).

    Hope this helps!

The Criterion 50% off sale at Barnes & Noble starts this Friday 2nd July and runs until Monday 2nd August. Like the last sale membership and coupons will not stack on top of the sale.

The sale started early (online at least). The code 5SSME2 is currently working, good for 15% off one item in cart. It's good for multiple orders (no telling how long the code will last).

Yup. And that must be why the coupon worked. When they officially start the sale, they'll disable coupons.

I believe the Barnes & Noble Criterion sale starts on October 29th. Also there is an Arrow sale which starts on October 25th. What's everybody going to get? Are you going to pick up the 4K edition of Citizen Kane or go for the Blu-Ray? Anybody needs any help then let me know...

High Sierra, but not from B & N but rather Amazon when they drop their price to $19.99, which they've been doing for years now. Still have to pay state sales tax, but shipping will be "free" plus I'll get 5% back with my Amazon card, plus next day delivery.

Same here. The threshold for free shipping through Criterion is too high.
