JBs seem to have an unannounced 20% off CDs at the moment. No idea how long it's lasting for.

Tempted, but quite a few reviews have said this is one of the weakest in the Dylan Bootleg series, and I am not a great Johnny Cash fan

 

Nothing to do with music, but I have been looking at buying some camping equipment from Aust. Amazon. This is from a review for a product that sums up much of Australian Amazon's marketing;

Something weird happening tonight. Many of the Amazon AU items in my saved items have disappeared.

 

Mine are all "temporarily unavailable"...maybe they're doing a stocktake

 

That's odd - mine are still all there.

 

Most of mine are still there, but now showing as unavailable via Amazon.

 

Yeah that’s what I meant. Strange to do that at prime shopping time on a Sunday night.

 

Same here, 90% of Amazon Australia vinyl in my cart is no longer available from Amazon Australia or one of the following.

• Usually dispatched within 11 to 13 weeks.
• Temporarily out of stock
  
• Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months

Strange days.

 

Mine too. Unavailable. Almost feels like they purged a bunch of stock.
Either that or someone's had a big shopping trip.

 

I'm going with the stock take theory.

I had stuff in my cart that I has been watching for months. Frustrating.

 

Many of the items in my shopping cart and saved lists that were Aust. Amazon sourced are now only available from UK Amazon or not available at all, many items had big price hikes.

My theory: Australian Amazon could not organize a piss - up in a brewery

 

Hehe yeah definitely some error on their end. I just sent them an email asking if they’ve been hacked. I thought that’s the only way to get their attention.

I have 200 items in my cart or saved list, 95% were available from Australian Amazon, that has now dropped to 10%. They are now only available from UK Amazon, other suppliers or are no longer available - very strange!

 

You're right - the prices didn't change much (which is why I didn't notice) but pretty much all of the music in my list is either coming from Amazon US, UK or 3rd party sellers... I hope that they're not ditching physical music - it might finally force me to get Prime!
