Had a few uncredited roles in the 1940s. Did not know that. Thanks, IMDB! :D

EDIT: Yeah, and that Falconetti was evil back then.

I remember William Smith from a Rockford Files 2 parter in Season 1. I thought he played a terrific bad guy.

One of the greatest screen villains ever. Falconetti has to be in Top 10 all-time.

He replaced James MacArthur on the original Hawaii Five O when it was in its death throes.

That was the the two part pilot episode. William Smith's character had a lot of swagger but Rockford definitely got the better of him in the awesome bathroom scene.

Just the best - one of the most reliable heavies in the business and always fun to see him get the occasional good guy role too, as seldom as it was. Recently saw him as the lead Bad/Good Guy in 'Seven', Andy Sidaris' take on The Magnificent Seven, which, if you are familiar with Andy, is more like The Magnificent Seven Goes Hawaiian and with Boobs. Fun stuff.

Such an essential fixture in 70's exploitation and action cinema; it is always fun to see his name pop up in the credits, and that's a kind of immortality I guess. He will be missed.

I've been wondering for years if "Rich Man Poor Man" is worth watching. Maybe this will finally push me over the edge.

I was especially fond of his co-starring role in The Last American Hero, a semi-fictional look at NASCAR racer & moonshiner Junior Johnson & his starring role in Grave Of The Vampire, where he acted so well against Michael Pataki. He was always reliable & good in about everything he did though.

The latter film I mentioned was based on the novel The Still Life, written by David Chase, who later created The Sopranos. Chase also wrote the screenplay.

    RIP William.

The first movie I ever saw him in was "The Frisco Kid" (1979) with Gene Wilder playing a rabbi making a transcontinental trip to become the leader of a congregation in San Francisco and Harrison Ford (!) as the bank robber with the heart of gold who befriends and helps protect him on his journey. What a great bad guy Smith was! He will be missed.

Remember watching him play a "bad guy" on TV in the 60s & 70s. One of the actors who I recognized but did not know their name. R.I.P. Another bad guy actor was Leo Gordon.

Fine actor and a physical specimen. That dude was fit as heck without any chemical enhancement.

Rest in peace, and may God bring his family comfort.
