    I also use a Sony PS-T15 with XL 15 cartridge and a Gründig PS 1010 with the Shure M 75 B. To play 16 & 78 records a Thorens 184.

Update, this time with photos (made before the switch of locations).

Same tables, but reversed in service:

    Fons upstairs in main system:

    Strathclyde downstairs in second system:

Reason: I added a Graham Slee Accession phono preamp downstairs, making that system the dedicated player for acoustic records, and the Strathclyde, with its digital speed readout, is the logical choice for playing those.

Not pictured: a Technics SP-15, held in reserve as a substitute for either of the foregoing when in the shop.

Looks like you had fun with the hole saw! Nice work on the paracord support for the cables.

    Lol
I actually drilled another row lower that I route/separate all the cables thru.
edit: yep, if you look close you can see them

You should see the Mac spec hole in the bottom It was running warm until I opened it up.
Now within 5-10 deg F of ambient in the enclosure running for hours.

I'm thinking about plexiglass door panels (with or without the grids) so I can see the gear.

Check out 3Form naturals - organic material suspended in resin. Seems like it would fit in with you decor. Call a sizable local sign fabricator and see if they have any scrap. It's used pretty frequently for high end ADA signage.

Been using a perfect Sony PS-X60 for years ($60.00 from original owner) and happy to find out this PS-X series been re-discovered by those in the TT know. But I recently had an audio epiphany that time is short and I don't want to spend my record time futzing with VTA and tracking and...so I discovered the Sony PS-X600 and the sonic difference is the proverbial lifting of the veil (one reason I'm over tinkering with cartridges and tonearms because I don't have the technical skills or patience). The Biotracer eliminates the IGD and allows me to focus on the clear detailed music. I thought this would be the TT end for me but a PS-X555ES in MINT shape showed up for a great price and I realized I really wanted that tangential Biotracer arm...so until it arrives, the Sony PS-X600 is the ****T (I slid a green gel strip into the light tower to give the table a more hi-fi aura to match my Sansui 7001 -- and yes, that's a refurbished Sansui GX-300 Monster amp stand)! BTW, if CD's had not come along or been embraced, these automatic turntables would have become standard and the sound quality would only improve and be more accessible as by the end of the 90's, cartridges would be easily plugged in, not with thin 1950's wires and Hobbitt screws...Any other Biotracer fans out there? Even Joni is impressed...)

That's a nice table and a very well shot picture. Really nicely focused with good depth. I'm curious though about the line I quoted above, how would the Biotracer be able to eliminate (or even reduce) IGD? Seems like that distortion is purely a function of cartridge alignment and stylus shape (and to a certain extent, the skating force compensation), whereas the Biotracer advantage is the dynamic control of the tracking force and reduction in tonearm resonances. I realize the table you have in transit does go a long way toward eliminating the possibility of IGD due to the tangential tracking, that should be a very nice table :)

My primary is an Audio-Technica AT-LP7 fitted with a VM540ML cartridge, secondary is a Pioneer PL-540 with a Shure M97xE.

My wife has my old Audio-Technica AT-LP120X with a VM95ML and recently acquired a Dual 1209 with a Shure V15 Mk. III.

We also have a Sony PS-LX5 with a VM95E fitted to it as a backup turntable.
