    Hi,
I am writing here because I don't know what else to do.
I've used to buy from Importcds often and was quite happy with the relation price/service.
This year it all went down the drain.
I am having 2 issues and I don't know how to proceed about them.
    Perhaps someone has advice?

    Issue # 1:
2 orders were shipped but they never arrived (Shipped to Argentina). Importcds claims they issued a refund. Almost 2 months went by and the refund never appeared in my bank account. I've complained to them and they said "Talk to your bank". My bank says there was never a refund arriving to my account.

    Issue # 2:
I've placed a big order with them and asked them to ship to NY. I was charged for the whole order when I paid.
They failed to ship 75% of the stuff and told me that they never charged me for the articles not shipped, they just sent a pre-authorization. But the money for the complete order came out of my account on the same April day I placed the order.
Now the bank says importcds charged for the whole amount as it is out of my account. Importcds say they did not.

Bottom line is I don't have the CDs or my money. And Importcds is not particularly helpful. They take ages to respond to emails or they don't reply at all.

    Thanks.
    Javi

I'm guessing you used a debit card?
And my comment is don't ever use a debit card for purchases.

At least with a credit card you can dispute the charges.

I feel for you...while I haven't lost money to them, I stopped using them because my orders are either cancelled or delayed to the point I have to cancel them.

Exactly. I've used a debit card. Never again.
I switched to debit because in my country they've instated a new tax on credit card purchases.

Sorry for the trouble. From now on just use paypal and in case of problems, you'll surely get your money back.

Hey, thanks. But Paypal is blocked for Argentinian accounts by the government.
Anyway does anyone have any ideas on how to get my money back?

    Update:
I called ImportCds several times and after spending more than an hour explaining my issue, an agent asked to email the details to an email address that... Does not exist.
    I hate importcds.

    [email protected] usually works.

They have subpar customer service though. You usually have to email them multiple times as the first reply is almost always a pre-written form response where they didn't actually fully read what your concern or issue was.

I have emailed to ask them about the status of a refund and then they sent me a return label despite in my email giving them the tracking # that they supplied for the return. They gave a form response as if I was asking to return something... then when I wrote back to say they didn't answer my question I was asking about something I had already returned they replied with we checked the tracking and we have nothing. They checked the second tracking that they just sent me, not the original which I had stated in both emails. Frustrating.

    Sorry mate. They suck.
I spoke to a Wendy 2 weeks ago and she promised to help me.
Guess who never called or emailed ever ?

    That's right, Wendy!

    Just sent them this email.

After months of calling, emailing and getting the worst customer support in the history of customer support, I've managed to talk on the phone to Wendy.
Wendy said she understood the problem with my order 1162-0090-1561SA and she would take it to management in the accounting department of importcds.
Two weeks went by and I haven't heard back.
This is the most frustrating experience a buyer can have.
Wendy, if you are reading this, can you please let me know if you have any updates?
    Thank you,
    Javi

    I feel your pain.

ImportCDs/DeepDiscount are unfortunately now part of a huge physical media conglomerate called Super-D/Alliance.

My observation in dealing with them is that they have no priority whatsoever to give a damn about their customers or deal properly with any complaints of which they are the root cause. They will ignore you, not reply to emails, give you no answers, or worse give you time wasting confusing conflicted answers hoping you simply move on and give up out of frustration. At least that has been my own painful experience(s). They do not seem able to keep up with customer complaints (my guess is that they are now so huge that they could care less about losing even 30% of their customer base).

I'm not sure if it works from your country but the only thing I can think of at this point to possibly help you is to open a complaint with the organization called The Better Business Bureau here in the USA. They are an organization that is supposed to represent aggrieved consumers, allow them to post publicly about their experience (as a way of warning other prospective customers), and act as a conduit for the business to rectify the situation (or at least give their side of the story in disputing the customer claim)

File Complaint with BBB: Start with Trust | Better Business Bureau

Even if they don't get ImportCDs to properly fix your situation at least you might get some small measure of satisfaction in posting about it publicly (elsewhere than just up here that is) which some other prospective customers might see and dissuade them from using this horrible company for their own purchases.

    Thank you!!
After calling several times I was told my request was forwarded to accounting.
    Fingers crossed!
Still, worst customer support ever in the history of humanity. From now on I'd rather pay more and buy on Amazon or elsewhere.
