I've never listened to Steely Dan. I do own a copy of The Nightfly (NM, RL-mastered), but I'm not sure I've ever managed to listen to it all the way through

I finally got around to it a couple of years ago. Great album. Excellent 5.1 mix

as the follow-up to a monster smash album, and all the hoopla and publicity in the build up, I've only heard one song off the double-album

Juvenile, SZA, Daddy Yankee, Miranda Lambert,Bon Iver, Jason Isbell and many many others according to Rolling Stones 500 greatest albums.

In terms of acts I know some tunes by (CCR, Beck, Radiohead, White Stripes, Pavement, U2, etc...) I would never of my own free will listen to an album by them.

Not a big Led Zeppelin fan but I wouldn't have thought not hearing IV was possible...

You should play it...it's great! One of the best LPs of 1974 IMO.

Lol indeed. I've never sat down and listened to IV because I hear every song off that album on classic rock radio daily.

I didn't hear Dark Side Of The Moon until 2004...in spite of buying the "Money" single in 1973. I was much more into early Pink Floyd...by 2004 I'd listened to "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" probably more than 100 times. I did hear most of Dark Side's individual songs on the radio over the years...it is a great LP no question, I just was more into the early years of Pink Floyd. Also didn't hear Pet Sounds until 2004, I love that album now!

Precisely! Same with "Who's Next"...I got that album for Christmas in 1972 but after about six months I never put it on...I could hear every track a zillion times on radio. I was like "Why take time to listen to that when I can play "The Who Sell Out" with equally great songs that they almost never play."

Yeah, back in the day if you wanted to listen to an album you had to buy or borrow a physical copy of it. Streaming makes it a lot easier to at least give anything a listen.

Michael Jackson - Thriller (I probably have heard all the tracks, just not in sequence: does that count?)

Bobby Bland - Dreamer (this is probably the most serious omission, I’d say)

The Smiths - Meat is Murder, Strangeways Here We Come

Oasis - What’s The Story (Morning Glory) - though I would dispute that this is any kind of ‘classic’.

    Def Leppard - Pyrmonia, Hysteria

    Neil Young - Ragged Glory

Never heard any album by The Doors, Elvis Costello, Nirvana, Radiohead. Heard the singles, don't like 'em.

Have heard an album by The Who (Tommy or Quadraphenia, the one with yada yada yada). Don't like them either.

It was a long time ago,I remember enjoying Tangled Up In Blue and finding Lilly,Rosemary and The Queen Of Hearts quite annoying. The rest of the album was pleasant but kind of washed over me.

I have heard Pet Sounds but not any other Beach Boys albums, apart from Greatest Hits type of thing.

I do like and own a few albums by Zappa and Neil Young but haven't heard all the ones probably regarded as classics.

Any album released within the last 20 years that's regarded as a classic I probably haven't heard.

I appreciate hearing other than glowing comments about ' Blood on the Tracks '.
I like it well enough and it's a fine album but I find there"s an element of over-drooling attached to it.

' Tusk ' was a disappointment to many at the time because many wanted ' Son of Rumours ' or ' Rumours Volume 2 ' or something just like ' Rumours '
I was glad they didn't go that route and produced instead the quirky and weird ' Tusk ', possibly their best album.
    Give it a listen.

Any post peter green Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel (anything). Probably heard all of a few of their albums on the radio track by track but cohesively I have not listened to their albums. Not my cup of tea.
