Useless information discovered during the latest lockdown - part 356 My history of orders placed with Amazon Australia: 2017 - 1 2018 - 11 2019 - 30 2020 - 355 2021 - 132 (year to date) Most of the orders were for an individual product - but there were a few multiple product orders, 90% were music related. Clearly 2020 was the golden year for me for cheap CDs/records, as other forum residents have pointed out , it is highly unlikely that prices will go as low as they have in the past. Money spent - too scared to calculate - but I did help Bezos pay for his sky rocket!
Yeah mine would look about the same, although 2021 much lower for me, as I’m primarily vinyl focused and this year has been dire (so far).
This arrived yesterday. Nice looking box set, heavy card jackets, high quality presentation. Each record comes in a poly lined inner sleeve. Pressed at RTI, so expecting high quality pressings and QA. However, I'm rather disappointed with the LPs. Blue was scratched a LOT. I've not seen a new RTI pressing with this many scratches before. Light marks all over both sides of the record, lots of dirt. This obviously affects playback, which was not enjoyable. I've yet to listen to the other three, but had a look at the records, and while not as bad as Blue, they have those scratches as well. I'll listen to the whole box before deciding if I want to replace it or return it altogether. It's a bit of a let down. The only upside is that I paid $151.77 and not the $435 JB is asking for it. Imagine having paid that much, and getting this substandard set. I'd be livid.
I would think about replacing it mate, I got mine from Redeye in Sydney and it is perfect, I am not that keen on the remix on the first album but the other three will be my go to versions of all of these albums.
Mine is a very similar pattern to yours: 2018 - 14 2019 - 72 2020 - 421 2021 - 130 (year to date) I’m still annoyed they’ve removed the ability to view Open Orders.
It was definitely sealed. There's a hype sticker on the outside, so it would have been hard to re-seal.
Very odd - so the vinyl came out of the factory damaged. Sadly, I've heard that this is not uncommon with modern vinyl.
