1968 version with Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway

    or

1999 version with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo

Which do you like better and why?

I like them equally. The original has less plot (not much actually) but gets by on star power. The remake was surprisingly clever. Neither all that substantial, but they're entertaining.

They should have used Dusty Springfield's version of 'Windmills'. Yeah, I know she cut it after the movie came out, but I never let those kind of details bother me...

Both are pretty darn good, however the original pips it because it was made in the Sixties.:D

The sixties one has some slick camera work.

The remake has some perkiness to it. :p:p

    Can't decide?

Yaphet Kotto's tie is the tie breaker for sure.

    It is a winner.

    The original is crap.

The remake is superb and possibly the best James Bond movie Brosnan never made.

The original stars Steve McQueen. What more has to be said?

    love the remake.

    brosnan and russo are magical.

I love Steve McQueen films as much as the next guy but he really is out-acted by Faye Dunaway in this film. And that's not sayin' much.

  11. I especially like the silencer on a revolver.
The "tech" department failed huge with this movie prop.

Still, Yaphet is looking dapper in his tie.
Is that paisley? I don't know what pattern it really is....Maybe artistic amoeba?

The chess match in the original is what makes it a keeper.
