And that one was aggressively promoted as "one opportunity only", without any backlash after the release. So they should worry about that when they decide to put it out or not.
Despite all the methods of circulation, Dylan bootlegs still are a very tiny market. Even desired Dylan shows on the very biggest torrent sites get just a few hundred downloads worldwide. The sale of physical bootleg copies has almost totally collapsed. But the release of an official Bootleg Series set sells at least 100 copies just in my small city alone
I collected them in de late 90’s/early 00’s and that was when great labels like Crystal Cat, Dandelion and Rattlesnake released almost every month or entire tour legs. With the torrents I saved money but also lost some interest I must admit. I still get the occasional CC and see some of the Japanese mailing lists but indeed the number of releases have gone down significantly.
And even back then, in the peak years of quality bootleg CDs, there were not many copies produced worldwide.
watched this again -- very enjoyable. Hope it comes out on CD or Vinyl -- these versions are very worthy to be part of his official discography.
I can’t see this being deleted forever. The music was fantastic and so was the film itself. Some people worked very hard on this.
I wonder if the similarity is because on both projects he was playing the role of interpreter. On one of them he was interpreting other people's songs. On the other he was interpreting his own songs.
Actually, if he wasn’t singing each line too early, I wouldn’t call this an example of what I’m talking about at all. It still sounds like the song. It’s hard to follow because he’s just belting out the lyrics whenever the hell he wants, but otherwise I don’t hate it.
My guess is the use of shadows/shadow in both titles is a coincidence and the meaning in SK is an acknowledgement that it's not his usual band and that this is a side project which exists in its own musical parallel universe.
I would love an official release of the audio. There was a Dropbox link in this thread briefly. I was able to grab it and I’ve listened to it multiple times a day. So so good.
Absolutely, I grabbed a link myself, also paid well in advance for the stream. Unless there were many more songs on an "official" release, I wouldn't pony up again. Hey, I'm retired Lol
Finally got a chance to listen and watch.. his voice is so great.. an extension of the great vocal performances on "Rough and Rowdy Ways"... what if he toured Shadow Kingdom and expanded it to two sets - one early years and one later years.. ? Just loving these renditions and his commitment and passion in the vocals.

Nice, Key East. I wonder if you saw the Tim Pierce livestream today. Here's where he mentions cutting 30 tracks with Dylan in April and May. He's not listed in the credits, which is puzzling. I now feel less ridiculous for being early (page 19 of this thread) in saying something is fishy. Hopefully we get a second Shadow Kingdom, regardless. I'm up for a physical release, too. Link: Edit: My timestamp link didn't work as intended. Dylan mention is at 15:05
Here's the confirmation from Tim, who played the music later mimed on video: https://twitter.com/CaseyHoops/status/1432380169134632964?s=20
