I don't think any of the things Alanis mentions are ironic, most are coincidence, some are bad luck but none are ironic! It's really the only thing that IS ironic about that song, none of it is ironic...

Soooooooooo crap quality? Let me know, please. I won't buy it. I had a bad experience with The Strokes album. Can't remember what the label was, but it sounded like someone held a tape recorder up next to the album while it played and used that. Awful!

 

Wax Time is grey market releases almost certainly using an old CD or even MP3’s as a source. They should not be purchased by anyone.

Because the music is out of copyright in Europe anyone can press it to vinyl.

Indeed. Avoid Waxtime. The label shouldn’t be sold in the US (or anywhere). The owners are stealing from the original artists, the labels and ultimately giving the purchaser a lousy product. Shame on Amazon, or anyone who carries such junk.

I mainly buy jazz and, at least here in Portugal (I don't know whether it's the same in the rest of Europe) it's almost impossible to enter a store that sells new records that does not carry those ****ty WaxTimes, DOLs, Jazz Images and such. It's like 70% of all jazz sections across the stores and it sucks. I hate those and I'd never buy them and still I have to look through Mingus Ah Um on orange vinyl, Mingus Ah Um on picture disc, Mingus Ah Um on green vinyl, Mingus Ah Um with a different cover by a French photographer etc. Frustrating.

 

Yeah that Primus is one of the most derided LP pressings of all time. Leave that one out of ya carts too
