Bullmoose has the new Rocktober releases up for preorder. Grabbed those Echo and the Bunnymen ones immediately.

Has there been a full list of titles published somewhere? Didn’t see anything on the Rhino site.

edit: The Bullmoose link will not load for anyone outside the US.

No official announcement from Rhino yet. Bull Moose tends to put up the preorders before Rhino announces it. Here’s what is being offered.
Echo and The Bunnymen - Crocodiles, Porcupine, Ocean Rain, Heaven Up Here
    P.O.D. - Satellite
Lou Reed - New York (2LP Crystal Clear)
Heavy Metal Soundtrack (2LP 140g Red Vinyl)
School of Rock Soundtrack (2LP 140g Orange Vinyl)
    Performance Soundtrack (140g Yellow Vinyl)
Gimme Danger Soundtrack (140g Ultra Clear Vinyl)
Hedwig and the Angry Inch Original Broadway Cast Recording (2LP 140g Pink Vinyl)

That "School Of Rock" soundtrack is awesome. Might have to snag that one!

Have they released any information regarding the mastering?

The 2 lp Hedwig is a new cut as the previous pressing was just one lp.

No, nothing like that. Doubt any of that information will come till Rhino announces it and even then not till the actual records are released most likely.

The Lou Reed New York is the 2020 mastering on 2 clear vinyl records without the optical discs. I guess if you want the clear vinyl, this is ok and cheaper than the Deluxe Edition. Still, I bought a Deluxe Edition off Amazon for $42.35 earlier this year.

Is it the original or US tracklisting on Crocodiles?

The tracklisting is on the Bullmoose page linked in the first post. It appears to be the 10-track UK version, without Do It Clean or Read It In Books.

The Hedwig pressing seems to be the original Broadway version with John Cameron Mitchell. If so, I am in!

I don’t think so, since it has Neil Patrick Harris on the cover.

Yeah it would of been better to have the Broadway John Cameron Mitchell version or the movie version.

The tracklist is of the original Broadway Cast. I really want the movie version, but I will take the original in a second.

I'm honestly surprised to see no Talking Heads or Devo releases this time around.

No, that is incorrect. Bull Moose lists the ORIGINAL 1999 (off-Broadway) Cast Recording track list, including the tune "Random Number Generation" sung by Miriam Shor, which was cut from the movie and the Broadway version of the show... the cover shot is definitely NPH from the Broadway Cast recording, however. I'm not sure which is the error, artwork or tracklist, but it seems highly unlikely that Rhino would revert to the pre-Broadway version? Warner/Atlantic holds the rights to both cast recordings, I believe, so it is possible. Guess I'll wait and see...

Very curious who cut and pressed these. I sent an email to Rhino, maybe they will respond.

Looks like Ocean Rain is already sold out. I’ll be interested to hear about the mastering for the Echo records. I have all their LPs, but they are the Sire versions, which don’t seem to be liked well around these parts.

I’m kind of surprised they split it across 2 LPs this time

Edit: nevermind, just saw the speculation that it might be the original original soundtrack

Looks like all the E&TB records are sold out except Heaven Up Here. Are these records usually easy to find in stores?

They are usually sold in indie record shops. My guess is BM only ordered a certain amount and wants to cut off preorders after a certain point. I won't preorder these, waiting for more info first. I doubt I will have too much trouble finding them locally.

It'll be interesting to hear this reissue of the Heavy Metal soundtrack, as Bernie Grundman did the original.

I preordered Ocean Rain and Heaven Up Here. It was free shipping and Rhino has rarely let me down with their reissues. I figure I can get Crocodiles and Porcupine at my local store if those first two sound good.

Zia Records has them all. The Hedwig is cheaper there than at Bullmoose.
