Here we are folks as suggested by @Easy-E it's time to start a pricing and shipping thread for the "Let It Be 50th Anniversary releases"..... Fill yer boots Lads's and Lasses!
I probably will have to sell some of my boots (shoes and LPs) to afford all the variations being offered...
Fellas...and one Mrs also with boots to fill - starting with CD super deluxe. Thanks for starting the thread!
The last physical release I purchased was the Abbey Road set on release day, but this will be the next.
I think I'll go for the CD/BR super deluxe and the one-LP vinyl. That's how I've approached the Beatles' remixes thus far. Of course, I still have to somehow figure out how to afford the ATMP 8 LP box, too. Jesus....
Down for both - though the CD set may get reviewed (ie jettisoned) later as the only extra thing is that bluray which seems to be from the description a sort of "1" for Let It Be songs? As in film clips of the songs? From the redone film perhaps?
Of course, I should never forget the ladies, afterall my other half and daughter won't let me! Edited accordingly.
Amazon USA (as of 8/26/21): CD Super Deluxe [5 CD + Blu Ray Box Set] - $139.98 Deluxe [2 CD] - $24.98 Standard [1 CD] - $18.98 LP Super Deluxe [4 LP + 12" EP Box Set] - $199.98 Standard [1 LP] - $25.98
Second straight Beatles-related mega box I will pass on. I canceled my pre-order for the 8-LP All Things Must Pass, and I just don’t care about Let It Be enough to pay $200 fot this set. The single LP will do just fine.
The Amazon preorder price of $199 seems a bit steep for four LP’s and an “EP.” Even assuming the book is worth, say, $50, that’s still $30 per record. Hopefully it comes down a bit before release.
There is one. But I couldn't find any Amazon link yet. An image was posted in one of the other threads:
$199 is way to high IMO. Content wise it’s nearly half the size of the All Things a Must Pass set which was similarly priced. Good grief.
Even for their crappiest load of crappily recorded crap, the Beatles brand commands a price premium over George’s vastly superior debut solo album. Not really shocking.
So far the only place to get the picture disc is beatles.com https://usastore.thebeatles.com/pro...e-oas-ud-sov-and-indies-only?cp=105982_110097
The same people who had the brainless idea to create the unlistenable “Fly on the Wall” 20-minute bonus disc the last time they tried to polish this turd.
Ordered the vinyl super deluxe from Amazon in the slight hope it comes down a bit before release.. Still on the fence of also getting the CD super deluxe for the BluRay version.. and because I'ma sucker.
