The last few weeks I've been watching the Sopranos from the beginning to the end! I've owned the DVD's 4ever but I haven't watched it in awhile. It is so heads and tails above the rest and the performance by James Gandolfini is one of finest of all time. When you binge the show you start to realize what a workhorse Gandolfini was. From the start, the great cast actually have weeks off but not James. From the beginning you realize Gandolfini was in just about 98% of all scenes at the time. He was a gift.
my wife and I agree...we still miss this show. Shatner carried his beliefs and incorporated them into the show...it all depends on what they are...
The Trial of Christine Keeler (2021) In pre Beatles England everything was about class. If you weren't upper class the only way up was to be good at sports if you were a boy or be breathtakingly beautiful if you were a girl and, even then, your downfall was just around the corner. Enter the 'gutter' press who were trying to change the social order and Christine Keeler who had the perfect story to tell.
Gossip. New Showtime series. So far all about Murdoch and his media empire. HBO has Succession, Show creates this
SCTV Season 1 Episode 4 - When it said guest stars Ralph Richardson and John Gielgud I barely paid attention. Turns out, they, the real actors, actually were in the episode. The brief scene focussed on them working on a crossword-I thought: Morse would've loved that.
The Chase Australia has a new host and they've dumbed down the questions so there's high amounts of money by the end but the Chaser is basically unbeatable.
I've been watching the USA version of 'The Chase', but I've yet to find out the answer to this question, (which may seem dumb to you), but if the Chaser beats the contestants, what happens to the money that the players built up? I mean I know the players walk away with squat if they don't win, but does the Chaser get any sort of prize for beating them, or are they (the Chaser) just paid a flat fee or something for appearing on the show?
We don't get Buzzr in our cable package, so I can't watch these episodes, but are the episodes "newer" old episodes with Drew Carey as host, or are they true vintage episodes with Bob Barker as host?
I imagine that the producers hope that the four of them don't get that idea or bargaining power. Well, it might be an OK idea if the show became a much bigger hit than it is...??? I suspect that the Beast is the most preferred Chaser but maybe not by a large margin...??? I like the rotation. I also like the idea of the Chasers competing some which a way. Maybe they should compete in a way other than their wisecracks in the back room.
Mark always congratulates himself when he wins and quotes his statistics at a moment's notice. That's his reward, bragging rights.
