    Just about anything from the Sun Sessions in which he sounds nothing(to me) like he did on RCA shortly thereafter, not in the 50’s or beyond. To me, these are the most other worldly vocals in all of Rock and Toll.

    It helps that this song has a gospel flavor to it. Those types of melodies were effortless for him.

    I agree. Blue Moon is astonishing as is just about all of it. His phrasing and timing is incredible on the Sun records and he sounds like he's loving every second of it.
