Not my favorite Loyde recording but OK price, $16.28 for the CD on Aztec Records

 

I was there when they recorded it. Roland gave Lobby a prototype of a guitar synthesiser and he was trying to blow it up. It was ridiculously loud and Gl Matthew's drums were bigger than the stage. The vocals were added later in the studio.

I've got a couple of the original EPs. That's the only reason I didn't buy it at the higher price.

 

Just noticed it's almost 3 years since I started this thread and damn it's been a double edged sword - both making me reap in the savings to be had but also making me spend a lot more money than I might otherwise have!

Does anyone have a favourite purchase from Amazon AU over the last few years?

It's tough to name one but I was pretty happy with Pink Floyd's Pulse on vinyl for $69.05 (bought in June 2019).

I would have to say The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society 5 CD, 2 LP, 3 7" box set for $49 in Sep 2019 - it has become my favourite box set dedicated to a single album. Still a reasonable $273 - https://www.amazon.com.au/KINKS-VIL...e4d7c&pd_rd_wg=lQ7BS&pd_rd_i=B07GJ397BS&psc=1

 

For me it's hard to go past the Whitesnake Unzipped 5CD/DVD box set for $19.99.
Ended up buying over 10 more of them and flipping them for $70 a pop on eBay too
