well, I would certainly be interested in picking this up. im sure many of us would. i don't see it anywhere. Funny I would expect a vault release if anything.
I wonder why there has been no announcement of this new pressing of the yellow cover. Perhaps in order to prevent scalpers from buying hundreds of copies and reselling them online? If it's not widely known, fans will have a better chance of buying their copies before scalpers do.
Yeah you would think at least the Third Man accounts would be posting about this new pressing, but maybe the McCartney team wanted it kept quiet and not for online ordering just in shops? Must be a sign that the previous indie versions have sold well. I know I don't see any copies on shelves anymore in the four record stores I frequent, and haven't for a few months actually.
That's fine except for one little detail. No one seems to be able to order it. I've checked several indie record stores and TMR's website. It must be a double secret release.
Something once again from TMR in the vein of their three dot white spine U.S. black vinyl, but even more secret. Shhhh! (The most rare final "unobtainable" edition!)
I have their red pressing. I was hoping for a small indie label, the pressing would be fantastic. Alas, there was nothing out of the ordinary about it.
There’s multiple photos of it, if you mean the 3333 edition. The first mention of it had it on a rack with other releases. The later pic wasn’t an edit of it, but a different pic. Plus that hype sticker is pretty convincing.
By the grace of God, I managed to secure a copy. It should arrive on Thursday so I will post pictures of it no one beats me to it. The original photo I posted is from the Facebook page for Guestroom Records in Louisville, KY.
Maybe 3333 is a world-wide number, so, perhaps many are going to other countries??? I checked with my local Indie, which is Bull Moose, and they've never heard of it, but I sent them all of the details and requested they get back to me if they get any. After reading @SoilyCompany76's initial post, I was able to track one down online and it's also in the mail. Thank you @SoilyCompany76! But the Indie store I bought it from is now sold out, too. This 3333 version sure seems to be cloaked in secrecy!
I can't believe anyone would pay $5000 for an LP pressing of 3333. Some of the other color variants of this album had pressings of 3000 and they aren't going for that (IIRC, the Newbury Comics version was one). In fact, it boggles my mind that the yellow with black dots, which was a pressing of only 333, is going for $5000. I know nothing about Third Man Records, but it must be that they are the manufacturer that commands these type of prices. Perhaps it's not McCartney fans buying them, but, rather, TMR fans.
I just got a reply to my email to Bull Moose and they say they are unable to get this version and that it is available only through the label. So, the mystery continues!
That's more of a reply than I got from anyone. I called one of the TMR retail locations Saturday and they had no information. I've also reached out to Newberry and a few local indie record stores. Nothing
My indie in Gainesville, Hear Again, had at least two on Friday. I wasn't even sure what it was, and already have the third man red pressing so I didn't venture there.
