This is where I started when talking with a sales rep. Planar 6, Hana EH, MoFi Studio Phono.

Yeah, I think it was around $2500. Found a place that had an SL-1210GR with an Ortofon Blue and the MoFi Studio Phono for $2200. Probably should just get over myself and get a 1500c and save about $1k.

I'd add the Roksan Radius 7 - really nice sound - I almost bought the Radius 5 but here is the new one
£1900 but I believe that comes with the Nima arm

If your considering a Technics, just read the Technics thread.

Price wise I had my heart set on the Mk7, cause I’m cheap at heart. After reading that thread I realized I should just spend more and go with the GR for many reasons.

Everyone there was right and I am so glad I spent the time to read as it really convinced me. I totally made the right decision.

Here… waffling. I should get the 1500c, I prefer the esthetics of the Planar P6, but I’ll most likely get the 1210GR. To be perfectly blunt though, my wife has come down with Covid and I’m not buying anything until we’re both in the clear. : (

I thought I'd post an update here finally. I just ordered a Technics SL-1500C. I should have it on Friday. I had some reward points with a vendor, they had an open box one with a decent discount and knocked another $15 off for waiving expedited shipping. So I ended up saving a couple hundred dollars off a new one. Couldn't really say no to that deal.

Thanks for everybody's input. I think this new turntable should serve me well.
