That’s a fun album. I got it on CD when I was in college and it got a fair amount of play time back then.
Khruangbin with Leon Bridges on vocals - Texas Sun. Been listening the whole weekend to the band. I like their three piece drum, bass and guitar sound
Produced by that snow white Texas kid Johnny Winter. Muddy is on and the band is killer. It's a great fykking record man!
I bought it because I recognized a few of the songs from live albums, or album. Also this is from Newbury Comics and is limited to 300, and prior was never released in the US on vinyl. Of course how hard would it be to find a European vinyl copy, assuming they exist? Probably not very. This has been available for a while and probably will never sell out. Are there 300 RT fans in the US with record players who will buy this?
Oh my yes, Richard Thompson is very popular. I think the mofi release from a couple years back is sold out and expensive now and that was 5,000 or more I think.
I think there's people that buy MoFi simply because its MoFi. That **** is pretty quiet though, in my experience.
If anyone ever liked the Holy Modal Rounders: One song from every year of the century. Pretty huge undertaking. Absolutely odd versions of each song as usual. Worth it to hear him do Spice Girls.
You sound like the older founder of Schiit Audio who was making fun of people with audiophile sheep bleating records when introducing their short-lived turntable.
That's awesome... I read something about this record a few weeks ago, or it might have been a video clip. That guy seems really interesting. I've got to check it out.
I gave it a skim and cursory listen earlier. It's a long ride haha.. his voice is horrendous on some but it's a lot of fun and a ton of work. I commend him. Some real punk type stuff too.
Waterless Hills - The Great Mountain 2020, Feeding Tube / Cardinal Fuzz Pretty solid instrumental effort from last year, drums/bass/violin/guitar with an Eastern vibe.
