Lotsa good stuff here, including a couple essentials that were in their last sale (the Archies compilation and Mamas & Papas two-LP singles set). New additions include some out of print Soul Jazz titles and a few things that may not be there for long-- like a two-LP live Todd/Utopia set on gold vinyl for six bucks!

Got the Airto, Martha Valdez, Strangeloves and Errol Dunkley. Some cool stuff for cheap

 

I had 6 LPs ready to go, but the shipping made MoFi look cheap

 

Got the Airto, Dandy, Errol Dunkley, Bob Wills and X-Ray Spex.

 

I bought four albums (one a double) and the shipping was $6.99, so not too bad. Pretty sure I got the last of the double Utopia.

 

My shipping was also 6.99. Seems fair to me. New West who I love also seem steep on the shipping to me. Detours me now. Ordered once in a sale so seemed to equal out. But gunshots now.

 

Not everyone in the world lives in the USA. I’m in Canada and they wanted $63

 

Oof. I've avoided many vendors from the UK and elsewhere for the same reason.

 

I’m used to paying through the nose, but they were way over the top. MoFi only charged me a ridiculous $35 for two one steps.

 

Wow, sorry, Metz, real bummer. I’ve read that there were changes lately in shipping all over. The In Groove record store got detailed about it. Makes some places just prohibitive. Kind of like Discogs when it’s from certain places like Japan, for me.


Maybe if there is a title you really want try Amazon Canada or Discogs. Though I bet ya just wanted to jump in on the sale. Bummer

 

Wish I saw this sooner but was still able to grab the Bonniwell Music Machine, wanted that when it came out but never got around to it even with $6 shipping it's the cheapest I've seen it.

 

Can anyone comment on the Mamas and Papas singles release?

 

I like it for the mono versions of several songs.

 

The Aierto is awesome. So cool.

 

I was about to buy that, before I realized I have a budget double LP ("The Essential Airto" on Buddah), one of whose albums is the same as the one Real Gone is selling.

Very reasonable shipping to Canada. I ordered 6 titles (two are doubles) and the shipping was only $16.

The Beckies is a must own for fans of Michael Brown's flavor of pop.

It was his last major project...followed by about forty years of not much...

Last year, it was $5 during the sale, though.
