If you didn't provide that link I'd think you were joking . Is he this egotistical and clueless now ?! No Nukes would of been exciting decades ago now they've just waited too long to get stuff out. Same for the box sets imo . While I would want to hear a Tracks 2 or BITUSA set it's not necessarily something I'd buy.
So what became of the No Nukes DVD? Or even the Sony press release we were told in August to expect this month?
This is the tracklist from Qobuz/Amazon Music. The below has a 90 minute run time so does that mean the 3CD version will have additional tracks to this (forgive me i'm not familiar with the setlists to know)? Or 2CDs of music and a DVD? 1 Prove It All Night (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/22/79) 2 Badlands (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/22/79) 3 The Promised Land (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/22/79) 4 The River (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/22/79) 5 Sherry Darling (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/22/79) 6 Thunder Road (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/21/79) 7 Jungleland (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/21/79) 8 Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/21/79) 9 Born to Run (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/21/79) 10 Stay (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/22/79) 11 Detroit Medley (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/21/79) 12 Quarter To Three (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/22/79) 13 Rave On! (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY - 09/21/79) Amazon say the MP3 version is "Expected 19 Nov 2021" while Qobuz says 22 October

Yes could be, was just relooking at the pic and noticed one of the disks looks different to the other two
Bruce Springsteen's and the E Street Band's iconic 1979 No Nukes concerts were recorded at the MUSE (Musicians United for Safe Energy) benefit concerts in September 1979 at Madison Square Garden, New York City. This 2-CD set contains 13 songs that were performed, remixed and mastered over two nights, as well as a DVD with the 13-song concert film, which was re-cut from original film material, restored and mixed in HD. This package includes a 24-page book of rare photos and memorabilia, an essay, a vintage ticket cover, a ticket replica, and a sticker.
On Amazon US, no info on the vinyl or DVD, but individual song MP3s are showing a release date of November 19, FWIW.
Just ordered the 2cd/blu-ray from Badlands UK £22.99 Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts (2CD, BLU-RAY) + POSTCARDS Thinking about the 2LP Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts (2 VINYL LP) + POSTCARDS
Just a stunning trailer, video and audio wise! We can already tell that the Clearmountain mix will blow away the shrill sounding Nugs version, even if we're not getting both shows complete. There'll likely be a surround mix on the Blu-ray too I'm guessing. And that video, in glorious HD! From what I can tell, these are the alternate nights of "The River" and "Thunder Road" versus the movie. And the version of "Stay" will have Tom Petty.
Minor point - the DVD can only be standard definition by design. Only the blu-ray will be HD. Overall, a nice release and one I'm greatly looking forward to seeing in HD. It's sort of an ESB "All-Star Game" of a setlist to be sure. Love the artwork as well. Nice tip of the hat to the classic boot Teardrops On The City by using the same font for the cover text.
A very in-depth interview with Bruce and co. regarding the shows and the film has just been published in Rolling Stone: Bruce Springsteen on Why He's Finally Releasing His Full 1979 'No Nukes' Shows
I'm pretty sure it is. Amazon has the dates listed for this new set: The River: 9/22 (movie version was from 9/21) Thunder Road: 9/21 (movie version was from 9/22) Stay: 9/22 (soundtrack version was from 9/21, without Tom Petty)
Great! I don't know which versions are the best but it's nice to have the other night on these two songs. Plus Stay with Tom Petty!
I'm glad I picked the CD's from Nugs when I could, as that release (now pulled out from the site) is the only way to get both nights in full. I was fully expecting the Blu-Ray to have both nights. It's a very short release otherwise.
