It's too bad they can't find someone like JoHanna Harwood. She was credited with the adaptations of Dr. No, FRWL and Goldfinger, although in one of the commentaries it was said she actually English-ized Maibaum's dialog and contributed some of the wit. She knew how to play the scene, in any case. The writing on those three films is the best the series ever had (along with OHMSS). She was married to French director Rene Clement.

Here's a very nice farewell that Daniel Craig said to the crew on his last shoot day for No Time to Die:
And at this link, co-producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli talk a little bit about No Time to Die and who might potentially be the next James Bond... New James Bond Replacement Won't Be Discussed Until 2022 - Variety
I didn't bother to click on the link above, but that link's title made me laugh out loud. They do realize ay VARIETY that there are only three months until the year 2022, right? I believe that we all can wait that long for the debate (discussion) to begin. For me personally, I'm sad to see Danial Craig go as he was one of the best James Bond actors. At sixty, I'm just not sure how interested I am anymore with this series of films. I believe that they have pretty much done it all at this point, without using some new filming or computer trick. I find it much more interesting to see what Tom Cruise is really doing in his stunts for his "Mission Impossible" films. And while I applaud Tom for doing his own crazy stunts, I just pray that he doesn't take it one step too far, just for authentic's sake.
I read a few months back that he was partnering with Elon Musk to film something in space. Not sure what the current status of that is.
Well that’s the way things are going I would imagine with the next Bond - ala Star Wars etc.. As is Bond is boring, staid.
The producers' point was, "we want all the attention to be on Daniel Craig for the rest of the year, and we're not going to talk about who the next James Bond will be for now." But believe me, they've got a list and they're talking to people. They did say that they're going with a man, and they don't believe a woman would be a good idea for this specific character. Eh, Skyfall made $1.1 billion dollars -- by far, the most profitable Bond film ever made -- so as long as the films make money, they'll keep making new ones.
Actually, it was about the same, according to the inflation calculator (Goldfinger grossed $120 million in 1964 dollars). Anyway, philosophical question: if one was so busy that they had no time to die, would this cause them to wish for death, so that the stress would finally end?
Actually, about the same: Goldfinger made $125 million (an incredibly amount of money in 1964), which would roughly equal a billion dollars today. The difference is that the earlier film cost only $3 million to make, while Skyfall cost about $200 million. Meanwhile, we have a lead on who will be the next James Bond in a year or two... Wallace Shawn Emerges As Frontrunner To Replace Daniel Craig As James Bond
I don't trust Elon Musk and every time that I ride in either of our friends X and Y models, I fear the glass will shatter all around us. Has Elon ever ridden in the back seat of either of those models, as there is absolutely NOTHING to hold onto when the drivers are always doing their "0 to 60" speed test after every stop? It's like a bad carnival ride back there and I always feel like I'm going to throw up when we finally stop. Thank GOD that the X model at least has doors that flip up, so I can just roll out onto the ground and kiss it! I wish Tom Cruise luck if he's working with him. and then there's this ...
